Interesting, thanks.
I like blockchain in the sense that it is like an online general ledger. Strengths are its large capacity for data storage and accuracy. Vulnerabilities, can it be hacked into and data manipulated, where is it stored? Any back-ups? I will admit I am in the preK stage with this stuff, but am hungry for knowledge.

You need to check the wiki article on block chains. I am a techie and I have not fully digested block chains and its implications.
However those questions are not really applicable to block chain, its not a storage bin, its really a methodology of having secure, traceable transactions based on irrefutable mathematics. Its strength is based on the fact that the maths cannot be hacked or fooled (never say never).
