The selectors MUST try new bowlers. Next series, blood at least two. Forget Taylor scrap heap for him. Forget Bishoo, join Taylor on the scrap heap! Carlos B should be ahead of Rovman Powell in BOTH T20's and ODI's and should be on any test squad. Dunno how all of a sudden Powell ahead of him. Why s Cotterel suddenly out of the picture? Bring in him and Beaton and let them get a look. We have nothing to lose!!!

The bowling, BISHOO INCLUDED, sucks!!!
In reply to Larr Pullo
I hope that Shiv & Bishoo will forever be on your mind.
Now... let's go enjoy our weekend with that said.

You outta u mind re Carlos B..u is one of those "the one omitted is the best option " people?
Forget Carlos was dropped? For repeated poor performances in ODIs..Rovman has put together some decent List A performances, and his under utilized bowling was always economical this series.
Carlos is as effective a bowler as Cummins
Is what happens when you pettily discard experienced AND effective at the time, bowlers like Fidel Edwards, Ravi Rampaul, AND Jerome Taylor to "send messages".
Reap what you sow. Now you scrapin barrell
Who the likes of Holder, Joseph, Gabriel etc have to learn from?
In reply to Larr Pullo
Only one bowler had an economy rate of under six in this ODI series....
1) Rovman Powell, 13 overs, 1 wkt, ER 5.15
2) Jason Holder, 23.2 overs, 2 wkts, ER 6.94
3) Jerome Taylor, 33 overs, 2 wkts, ER 7.00
4) Alzarri Joseph, 15.1 overs, 5 wkts, ER 7.25
5) Ashley Nurse, 27.5 overs, 1 wkts, ER 7.25
6) Dev Bishoo, 11 overs, 0 wkts, ER 7.36
7) Kesrick Williams, 6 overs, 2 wkts, ER 8.33
Miguel Cummins, 23 overs, 4 wkts, ER 8.73
9) Marlon Samuels, 4 overs, 0 wkts, ER 10.25
So, Powell probably survives due to his bowling, and maybe you could make an argument for Joseph taking wickets, but there's little else to get excited about.
And only three batsmen can hold their heads up high:
1) Evin Lewis, 200 runs @ ave of 100, SR of 131.57
2) Jason Holder, 152 runs @ ave of 76, SR of 125.61
3) Chris Gayle, 173 runs @ ave of 43.25, SR of 125.36
Not much else worth talking about

They suck, has been no good for decades

Shai Hope can also hold his head up - although not high with 138 runs at an average of 34.5 and an SR of 73.4...its the latter that he needs to work on and I am sure that he can as he is a class batsman.
Sunil Ambris with one innings should be given more chances and I would personally blood Hethmeyer as he is one of the most exciting prospects that we have as a batsman. I would say bye bye to the Icon and thank him for past services rendered.
With respect to Bowling, Jason Holder and Alzarri Joseph can probably hold a place in the one day team but the selectors need to calculate whether it may be necessary to include the two most effective bowlers in the test series (Roach and Gabriel) into the ODI setup in order to give the bowling attack some teeth. They together with Narine would make the bowling attack a different proposition for other teams!

Agreed. At the same time they NEED to look at allrounders like EMRIT, PRIMUS,REIFER, CARLOS and POLLARD...these guys all bowl in T20 and their variation means something when batsmen looking to score at a run a ball or more.
..cant bat, cant contain bowlers like Cummins and Taylor have to go.
I have said this b4...wi fast men have to adopt MNtini's practice regimen. Full stop.

The selectors have the bowlers out there to do the job. Esp with Russell due to return. In fact Russell, Carlos and Pollard are all good bowling options/power hitters even in ODIs.
But certainly not Cummins and Taylor.
not against Zimbabwe
