Towards restoration of WI Cricket is the candid acceptance by CWI president that he and his administration have erred in the management of WI Cricket. I give him points for finally admitting their shortcomings. Now we could start rebuilding WI cricket, by learning from prior mistakes and to a more positive and constructive approach to our cricket management and development.

Here is an excerpt of significance:

"Cameron pointed to significant flaws at the administrative level in the West Indies that is partly at fault for the downward spiral in our cricket. He said, “While we have been able to put money into the pockets of the players, what we haven’t done, we haven’t transformed our administrators around what is required to administer a professional system, and that is where we are failing. We keep ‘blaming’ the players for some of the shortcomings but it is as a result of the shortcomings of our administration.”

He needed to explain in detail what are the Shortcomings , and what He & the other Members of the Board are prepared to do to address the Problems .

Citing what the problem is and not having a Plan to address the Problem
demonstrates that the People in the WICBC/CWI need to be removed from their Offices .

What sense does it make if You know what the Problems are , and bluntly refuse to address these Problems is
exceedingly Poor Leadership .

My take is that this is simply a Ploy
taken from the WICBC/CWI Playbook ; I
am not impressed .

First on the Agenda must be a COMPLETE RESTRUCTURING OF THE WICBC/CWI .But
mark my words that aint going to happen .

Perhaps he has been notified that the
the Wehby Report like all the Others aint going to be kind to the WICBC/CWI
and this is his modus operandi to attempt softening the Blow .

In my opinion ALL THE CRICKET BOARDS
in the Region must be completely Restructured :

WITH STRICT ADHERENCE TO THE

PRINCIPLES OF GOOD GOVERNANCE ;

TRANSPARENCY & ACCOUNTABILITY .

In my opinion , the above must be incorporated into a NEW MISSION
STATEMENT .

Current Members of the WICBC/CWI must demmit their Offices . WE need Persons not tarnished by 20th Century
archaic thinking , that infers that
they are Lords & the Players their Serfs .

That thinking has not got US anywhere. It breeds Animosity and
Contemptuousness , and WE have seen
that this is totally unhelpful to
CRICKET IN THE REGION .

THIS MEANS THAT EVERYONE MUST PARK

THEIR ARROGANCE ; CONTEMPTUOUSNESS &

EGOS AT THE FREAKING DOOR

I am fully aware of the fact that :

" YOU CANNOT TEACH AN

OLD DOG NEW TRICKS "

This is precisely why they all have to Go . They have been and are too Set in their Ways ; and that has been and is totally unhelpful to West Indies Cricket .

we haven’t transformed our administrators

It is not my fault, blame the workers at CWI.

“We’ve had to make very tough decisions which the ordinary person would not have been able to understand. Our hope is that in ten years’

I am so brilliant it will take ten year for people to understand what I did, by which time I will be gone and it will take another 50 years to undo the damage I did.

Once Financial Sponsors realize that
concrete Structural Changes are being made , I have no doubt that they will come on board .

Well Stated , apart from what you have stated ;

WE NEED IN THE REGION SPORTS

JOURNALIST ENDOWED WITH TESTICULAR

FORTITUDE TO BE CRITICAL OF THOSE IN

THE GOVERNANCE OF ALL CRICKET IN THE

REGION .

Sadly there are not many of them , most of them in the Region are actually BOOT LICKERS of the Worst
International Cricket Board in the
Commonwealth , aka the WICBC /CWI .

If you watched the India / Aussie ODI series just concluded you would have seen the stadia decorated with sponsors banners indicated widespread support for game in India. I have mentioned in the past that CWI can have multiple sponsors for their events instead of looking for one large sponsor. Cricket needs broad based partnerships where value is added and the products receive premium exposure.

If only CWI could have its 50 over competition sponsored not by one large sponsor but say 20 smaller entities it would go a long way towards improving the 50 product both regional and international.

I hear you , however it is quite possible that the Contract the Big Idiots signed , does not allow them to have other Sponsors .

That is the Brilliance of those who are in the governance of Cricket in the Region .

There was a time when they had more than One Sponsors however they left
why they left is unknown to the General Public .

The fact is that if in the Region WE
had REAL SPORTS JOURNALISTS , they would have gone to the Former Sponsors to ascertain why they stopped being Sponsors .

However the Truth is that in the Region There are VERY FEW CREDIBLE SPORTS JOURNALISTS IN THE REGION .
Most of them are Boot Lickers of the
Worst International Cricket Board in
the Commonwealth , aka the WICBC/CWI.

The Digicel contract should not be used by CWI not to move forward, excuses, excuses. Digicel has some oversight but would not be unreasonable in protecting its interest.

If what you say above is True Why is it that DIGICEL is the Only Sponsor that the WICBC/CWI HAS ??????

If what I have stated above is False
then Why is it that other Sponsors
refuse to come on Board ?????

I have been asking this Question for
many Years in this Forum . I do not recall getting any answers when I have enquired about the Board having only One Sponsor .

Meanwhile under the Leadership of
Cameron Cricket in the Region particularly in the Longer formats of
the Game . Now this is a freaking Fact not Fiction .

CAMERON & OTHERS ARE A LARGE PART OF

THE PROBLEM REGARDING CRICKET IN THE

REGION . THEY , THEREFORE CANNOT BE A

PART OF THE SOLUTION . IT IS JUST

THAT SIMPLE !!!
