Rick's Cafe is a recommended spot to visit?

Scotchies in Montego Bay?

Any other hot spots to try in and around Negril?

It's my 4th trip to the land of Wood & Water. Can't wait to get there again.

Thank you for any good tips!!!

Was not impressed. Jerk for foreigners.

Try a vendor at the local market in OR

FADABULL between MB and Ochi is a riff off for some soso meat.

Rick's Cafe for the sunset.

However, if you're going to eat, try some of less touristy spots on the West End, which will be cheaper. I personally prefer Cosmos, or whatever it's called now.

The best beach...anywhere on that seven-mile beach off Norman Manley Highway in Negril.

Doctor's Cave Beach in MoBay. I think the Pelican restaurant is over-rated and over-priced. I actually quite liked Scotchies...preferred it to the Jerk Pit.

Patties from Juici-Beef or Tastees outlets in Negril and MoBay.

Chicken from Island Grill.

Sunset on Pier One in MoBay.

A tour of Belvedere Estate in rural St James, just outside Montego Bay.

Agree with Siva on Cosmos, the best local and seafood fare in the area, beware of the mosquitoes and flies.

Scothchies - a waste of time and money

wow. I'm surprised. When I was in Ocho Rios & another time in Runaway Bay... we went to a Scotchies and enjoyed the jerk pork, etc to the max. cry Must've been a different location.

I've only been Negril once but they had this great looking cliff diving somewhere in the area near this bar/restaurant. Real nice. Great visuals. One of my Bermudian friends wound up purchasing a bar down there so I have to ask him about it.

Awesome.

first time I had heard of Negril was this poster somewhere where they had the most beautiful woman. I was all, man we have got to go *there*.

Didn't see her, of course lol

Mo Bay was pretty nice except my fourth time was the resort thing and was relatively quiet (Iberostar had an on-site nightclub but it was some distance from the strip). Went to Sumfest some years ago where Lionel Ritchie was the headliner. Field was muddy but it was a great show. Nuff ladies had to walk barefoot, heh.

If you like the touristy stuff with salacious but fictitious stories then Rose Hall is the place to go.

But if you want to know what really happened under slavery then Belvedere is the place to go.
