Ramdin hundred powers Redforce

A gritty hundred by skipper Denesh Ramdin and half centuries by Jeremy Solozano (54) and Ewart Nicholson (74) helped put the Redforce into a strong first innings position in their Windies Professional Cricket League 4 Day fixture against Barbados at Kensington Oval.

Technically one of the better West Indian batsmen, I think his experience is desperately need in this group of school boys we have representing us.

Best wicket-keepr bat in the region. And the best captain.

Over the years he was one of the few who seemed to have a clue what to do when the ball was swinging.
It is not really hard to have one of the better techniques in this region.

Ramdin's keeping was certainly excellent. His captaincy wasnt great - and his body language was really poor. Batting at test level never lived up to the potential. i think it was right to drop him, especially while Holder was establishing himself.. there seemed to be a lot of negativity associated with him. But i also think if he is scoring runs and keeping well he should be recalled, as Dowich seems to be in a long slump.

The same can be said for a lot of WI specialist batsmen
