I had no idea there was an election in Jamaica.
These things are normally announced here from early with lots of predictions.
The JLP won! Wow, I thought they would not stand a chance under Baby Bruce.

Baby Bruce can now breathe a lot easier in Parliament.
With a one seat majority as existed before today, every parliamentarian is king.
And further, this seat was billed by the opposition as a referendum on the stewardship of baby Bruce.
It's now a continuous consolidation, entrenchment, cementing of their grip on political power.

Oh my.
It would appear some elderly Comrades may never live to see the PNP in power again.
What a pity.

I am reading up on that bye election. Why would the PNP import a candidate? Their candidate is a Canadian citizen apparently.
There were three bye elections yesterday

Alexis has lived here most of his life. He also has Grenadian citizenship. He has served the medical field at every level.
The Jamaican constitution states that he is/was eligible.
Funny how you sit outside of Jamaica to attack someone who is way more of a citizen that you will ever be.
Shane made one mistake - he didn't do what the vast majority of Jamaican doctors do - migrate.
Enjoy the two seat majority - things aren't always what they appear to be.

You're sounding a lil' disappointed love.
Check to see if Andrew is smiling today for me.
He is the only king in the JLP now.
