I would fire de selectors before I fire Blackie.

The simple reason for this is...

They have not realized that Blackie has never had the goods for test cricket.

Selectors need to go first...they don't have eyes for spotting talent.

But tell me in this day and age...do you tink Blackie should be playing test cricket?

De man audtioned for the T20 format from day one and our selectors were under the illusion dat de man is a test batsman.

I refuse to believe that Blackie and some others are the best we can recruit for a test side.

I say the buck stops with the selectors...Courtney Browne and his other blind mice should hold no place as decision makers, if we want shape West Indies cricket in the right direction.

.....................................

positiveg, doh be afraid to answer...all fellas can do is to attack you from behind their internet screens like internet badjohns pulling out their imaginary gloves and backing their shirts.

Someadem even stop by the railwaysto shit and eat their shit in the process. Some even talk to themselves.

This place is never dull.

If you drop Blackie, who would représent the yardies, they need a pick.

Some say he had the 3rd best average on the Test tour to England so that excuses his pick! cool

As one who reps Yardies strongly, I am an advocate for only the best players representing WI teams at all times despite nationality or island affiliation. With that been said the selectors have already set a precedence with the Hope brothers. Now it would seem unfair of other players not given the same opportunity to succeed after successive failure. Shai Hope is now considered a consistent batsman after his initial failures, selectors stuck with him and he is now repaying dividends for their expectations in him. Even my boy Powell is now top scoring while others wanted him gone from the team a long time ago.

I am not into dis quota pick ting...but bring O'Shane Thomas in like yesterday.

I like what I see in the yuteman bowling.

I will be paying close attention to the current tournament to advise the selectors. There are some more who need to shape up or ship out.

big grin

he failed and should be dropped, many fans in Bim thought he was the better of the brothers, I never subscribe to that.
our players are not consistent, they can be good for good innings every 10 games, we need consistency.

If Shai Hope had Blackie's figures in test I would be advocating that Shai be dropped pronto.

In 28 tests you cannot be averaging less than 30 as a batsman. Sorry and this goes for all our batters.

But Blackie did not pick himself.

All rounder yes...but not as batter who does not bowl.

I never said Quota, Blackie can bat.in regard to Shai everyone knew he was the real deal, he is a talent, Dujon, Bishop, Viv and Richie have said it. some players you will give more chances than others because of their raw talent- the Samuels, Hinds, Hoopers, X-mans, the Brooks, the Sobers, VIvs, and Greenridge.
Many say that King, Hety and Paul are talented players, they should be given should be given a chance to fail and recover.

Thomas is on the Fastrack for sure. So is Odean Smith. Got a report during one of the recent A team matches that Thomas was fast and hostile. One gentleman said Thomas is a physically imposing young man who will frighten batsmen at the international level smile

Thats why we are at #8, score run or take wickets is what needed, when selecting players.
I knew that from following some of the best, who played at the Regional and International level.
You acting like the former players are God, most of them has been wrong for the last 20 years.
