Another ton for Hety.. WI vs NSD - Warm Up match
Powell made 65 too...
In reply to anthonyp
Thats a club team in NZ and not a first class team right?
In reply to anthonyp
Amen.I maintain that we are not blessed with enough batting talent in the region, to keep him out for much longer.
In reply to Andy99
But, but the other batsmen were playing against the same team!
In reply to Andy99
It's a team in Australia.. think they got a camp going on in Australia at d moment..
Yes, we are in camp in Ozland.
Something I think POINT will be proud to know.
In reply to StumpCam
Why !!!!!!
I just asked a question and I am on record here stating I want Hety to play above Kowell and Blackwood.
Was just stating the level of the match because at first glance it look like they were playing against NZ FC team Northern Districts.
In reply to anthonyp
Ok cool, good that these guys are getting this experience.
In reply to natty_forever
POINT will be INCENSED that the charlatans in the press did not write about the camp!!!!
In reply to Larr Pullo
In reply to Andy99
When did Browne select Kowell? First I've heard of him! Can he play spin?
In reply to natty_forever
It is the duration of the Camps that I am concerned about . This is necessary for Our Players to get acclimatized to both the Weather & the Pitches .
Why Australia and not New Zealand? Surely OS and NZ conditions are poles apart..
Hetty, Cummings, Reifer and Joseph's situation, reminds me of Wes Hall coming home from England, after not playing in any of the five test.
Wes when on to serve Barbados and the West Indies well, I am and praying, these four along with Ambris, who just got called up, can do the same
He will soon take over the captaincy from Jason. Just watch... Not saying it's a bad thing.
Pullo's strategy is working well for Hety....kepp him on the bench as a bench warmer and just play him in the warm-ups.
They will mash up this kid's career.
In reply to anthonyp Good for Hetey...hope he still eats metem! Anyhow, i did enjoy (though very briefly) when he was 'putting it on' the grate pak, Yesah Shaw!
In reply to runout
you might get your wish very soon.

In reply to Mr-Anguilla
Its not a disrespect thing, I use it when there are more than 1 person with the same last name.
Kowell - K. Powell
Rowell - R. Powell
Sope - S. Hope
Kope - K. Hope
In reply to tc1
I hope so bro...the kid is talented.
Don't sit hime for the Kyle's of cricket. Sinful!
In reply to runout
More like criminal....
In reply to Mr-Anguilla
I feel so too. And it's part of the reason they investing so much time and effort in him. Once he become a consistent performer he will inherit the crown.
Scores:
WEST INDIES 352 for eight (Shimron Hetmyer 119, Kieran Powell 65, Kraigg Brathwaite 43, Jason Holder 35; Andrew Gode 2-57) vs NORTHERN INVITATIONAL XI.
In reply to aliaskid13
You are spot on
In reply to sunfish
Because its Stuart Law's backyard and he has arranged the best facilities for the team with the help of Queensland Cricket (state cricket board) from what i read, albeit you are correct in that the conditions between Oz and NZ are different but at least they would have acclimatised a lot better especially with the timezones, by the time they commence the NZ series
Dowrich made 10, Chase made 0 and Blackwood did stupidity again
In reply to runout
Very similar to when that rank shytehound Keith Arthurton kept getting selected over Shiv until it became too much of an embarrassment for Richie and Co.
Hety will be the best batsman in this side.
In reply to sunfish No substitute for match practice! Those who play sports know that, big time.
In reply to Runs
We can only hope Bro. He's got loads of talent and as we saw at the U-19 WC he's a natural leader too.
In reply to SnoopDog
Guyanese always have to be in the leadership role, only nogooglyshoo like he gun cyant mek dat. Shameful
In reply to runout
he has more tons than Shai
In reply to SnoopDog
looking an avg, both are 2 shoitehounds. would you conclude such
In reply to tc1
Yes. Both Kyle Hope and Kieth Arthurton are/were genuine shytehounds.
In reply to SnoopDog
if Kyle is a shoitehound, Keith is a Shoitehound, Hetey is one too.
In reply to tc1
Hety is only 20 n barely played a few games, are you basing your judgement on such? Oh my
Arthurton is one of the greatest WI cricketers ever.
He played in front Lara and he played in front Shiv. They both sat and watched him play.
Bacchus, Arthurton and Logie were 80s superteam shitehounds but would have been 2000s stars. That is how low the bar has been dropped.
In reply to Runs
I am basing on the definition of a shite hound according to you guys, and I am assuming it 's stat driven.
Kyle is no longer with the team, in the Pak series , Shai was the one that you muddies were saying should sit and allowed Singh and Hety to play.
We have seen the performance of both Hety and Singh in the series.
In reply to Runs
Logie and Authurton made up for it in the field
In reply to mikelegend
Harper too
In reply to SnoopDog
Very similar to when that rank shytehound Keith Arthurton kept getting selected over Shiv until it became too much of an embarrassment for Richie and Co.
When Richie sat Sherwin and Shiv for Stuart and Keith, Sherwin and Shiv were averaging around 50+ and Stuart and Keith were averaging 20+. Sherwin and Shiv were scoring heavily in first class cricket also. At this time, Hety is just promise.
In reply to anthonyp
That boy gotta get a play. Sorry Blackwood!
If they play Hetmyer too early they could set him back, allow him to practice and watch for now, Ambris seem to be more mature and ready at the moment.
In reply to dayne
nonsense!
In reply to dayne
YOU are setting him back. Time to play.
In reply to dayne
Seems like Muddies are best fetching water on I team!
yeah allyuh talk nah!
In reply to Runs
Yes!! Him too!
In reply to Runs... match done?
In reply to natty_forever
