Guyana piles on runs against Red Force

A wrong call at the toss by T&T Red Force captain Denesh Ramdin worked against his team yesterday, as Guyana Jaguars batting first, piled on the runs in their fourth round day/night Digicel PCL clash at the Brian Lara Cricket Academy in Tarouba.

At the dinner break the visitors reached 151 for 1, as they enjoyed batting on a slow pitch at the newest First Class venue in the Caribbean.

Red Force skipper Denesh Ramdin needed treatment after running down a ball to the ropes at the Brian Lara Cricket Academy in Tarouba yesterday.

Up to press time (7.30 p.m.) last night, Ramdin was still being “assessed”.

Losing the toss was not the wrong call. It’s the wicket playing condition is wrong!
This Lara Cricket Academy is a new venue that is ready for its funeral.
“The pitches are dead.”
How are the players to improve playing on such poor conditions?
The necessary authorities NEED to take immediate action in improving those pitches. This will enhance the players skill and performance, better match results and more excitement and interest from the fans.
