Hodge and these 50s...

Mr-Anguilla 2017-11-17 14:31:53

He is too old and experienced for 50s!

Bats too slow. Too limited on the offside. He plays well within his limitations but he needs to get big runs now.

also challenged with the responsibility of anchoring the leewards batting. Go easy on him. If you notice, Him (and now Carty) is the only person who can reliably bat through a whole day. I am willing to bet that if we had a stronger middle order he would probably score at a faster rate.

I would love to see him score faster and produce bigger scores, but every time he out i start get nervous.

Good point in that the rest of the batting lineup except maybe for Hamilton ( seems in bad form) seem incapable of batting for long periods. I like what I see in Warde and Louis those two seem to be willing to stay and fight it out for long periods. Cappo Cornwall needs to put his head down and do the same. Bonner, Hughes and Thomas really should be doing better by now.

What i really like about the skipper is that he keeps the scoreboard ticking. he looks to score from every ball he face even if it's just a single. There's always a lot of attention around his size and fitness or whatever but check it out. he runs more singles than just about everybody else.

Do you know what happened to Simon? I know Tonge is out with a hamstring strain but did not get what happened to Simon. Our bowling looked pretty weak.

yeah man. I like how we looking. We just need one or two more man Like Hodge and Carty who can bat long and we'll be back ontop where we belong. Terrance Warde look like he's a much better batsman than his place in the batting order might suggest

I believe Warde is more a batsman than a bowler.

Cornwall should be selected to the test squad

I don't know what happened to Simon but honestly I think I prefer Berridge anyway. I'll try to get some info on Simon later. But for now Berridge seems to be doing a better job. And yes, without Gavin the only real threat we have is Louis, and Cornwall, which makes it difficult to apply any real pressure from both ends for any extended period. We really need Tonge back. We can't be chasing down 350+ run scores every time we bat.

You drop the man after one game? I don't think that is fair to Simon. Did not really see much of Berridge but will look at him in the 2nd innings.

lol not saying I would drop him, just saying that he didn't bowl well in the match against Guyana and so his injury doesn't seem like such a great loss since Berridge seems to be doing a better job anyway. Call it a silver lining.
