I will be cremated and don't give a damn what folks do with the ashes although I think the snapper in the Caribbean Sea deserve first choice.
There will be absolutely no ceremony of any kind.
I've been to some funerals and almost asked folks to open the casket to see if dat was di person they were talking about.
I've listened to tributes lasting three hours of repetitive BS about some great family man while children the wife knew nothing about showed up.
I watched one mother bawl, faint away and scream but she was well enough at the repast to tell us that every important person was there. I een know about allyuh but if I was in dat kind of grief I would not have known who was there.
Two of my paternal aunts had no ceremonies - I'm following them.

RIP - Rigorous In Planning..
Now Larr, it is real. "This is the big one."
Let me say "good bye Chrissy" in advance. Until we meet again darling.

Until we meet again darling
Meet where? Chrissy is not invited to heaven, nor does she want to go.
In reply to black
Only another plain of existence. Nothing to do with heaven or hell.
In reply to Chrissy
I gave very specific instructions to 3 individuals of exactly what should take place. In addition, I gave my 17 year old great grand my password for this site, instructing him to announce my journey to the beyond and to immediately close off this account at CC.com.
In reply to Emir
Next week?
In reply to Emir
Damn
If I see pro hindu post, that will be the notification.

Elizabeth! I am coming.
Do you have experience cremating people? Donate a freebee
Great stuff..
In reply to Dan_De_Lyan
I have no blast furnace. This is what Chrissy's body will need for cremation.
Any undertaker would have to significantly up their fee for burning Chrissy's body. It will not burn easily.
Have you ever cooked an old goat?
How about something like this?
gun man...lol..

some people take comfort in religion. Others in the thought of genetic immortality via their progeny. Others devote themselves to their occupation. Other people just go to Caribbean cricket for planning advice. Snappers lives matter
In reply to Dan_De_Lyan
Emir and Chrissy must know something we don't know. Anyway, yellow fin snapper would vomit Chrissy's ashes.
Just got a sneak preview of Chrissy's parting wishes:
"Having never been married, I request no male pallbearers. They wouldnt take me out while I was alive, I dont want them to take me out when Im dead."
In reply to Chrissy
Chrissy darling, I hope you ain vex? We is we.
I'll miss you honey.

I went to a funeral recently. It's all farce.
I walked my usual 5.2km this morning. I'm in very good health.
I'm amazed at how Caribbean peeps 'fraid to make plans. My peeps know what I want so there will be no confusion.
Was thinking of surprising di siblings and showing up next week fi a good lime, but upstate New York is way too cold fi me dis year.
In reply to Courtesy
Some of us never married by choice.
No hard feelings but there are so many Shounds like you around that remaining single was always a better option.
In reply to Chrissy
Come on Chrissy...you're still walking. You trying a ting or wha?
In reply to black
You believe in heaven?
When compared with vast sections of humanity, heaven has been my life.
In reply to Chrissy
No hard feelings but there are so many Shounds like you around that remaining single was always a better option.
I cyan blame you for not marrying me. De same way you duz bone de yellow fin snapper you would get boned too.
In reply to Courtesy
I walk a minimum 20K a week and ride my stationary bike as well. Exercise has been a regular part of my life from I was a toddler. My father inculcated that in all of us.
I haven't eaten red meat since the 1970s.
I have never been allergic to anything - who could ask for more.

Putting all jokes aside...you're blessed darling. When I saw this thread my first reaction was to shed a crocodile tear. I just couldn't countenance the thought of losing you.
In reply to Courtesy
So sick people are cursed then? Allyuh real stupidee yuh see.
In reply to Chrissy
Yes, I have seen many myself.
I do not officiate in many funerals anymore, my health do not permit but time to time, I still get request to conduct funerals, I make sure to let the family know the ceremony cannot be long and drawn out. I keep it to 10 minutes: 3 minute prayer called a janazza, a 5 minute sermon and a final prayer of about 2 minutes. T
Immediately following the final prayer, I close off and the body goes to the burial site without delay.
In reply to Chrissy

Come on Chrissy, the place do not exist.
In reply to Chrissy
Come on Chrissy, don't be too restrictive with your vocab.
Let me put it this way..."you are enjoying happiness"..."blessed."
In reply to black
Precisely - it's a healthy life, no hunger, a great education, careers that you enjoy, good friends and the capacity to enjoy the planet. Dat should be enough for most folks.
In reply to Courtesy
Blessed is a really stupid word. The same is true for cursed. Humans are daft.
In reply to Chrissy
Raise your standard darling. You are locking yourself in a box.
In reply to Chrissy
That is when they sing the hymn "Great is Thy Faithfulness".
In reply to Headley
You win di thread - profound
In reply to Courtesy
The inversion of reality in dat box is deep.
In reply to Chrissy
You are stuck on a biblical or ecclesiastical interpretation of "blessed and cursed." I ain in dat...sorry.
I refuse to limit my mind.
I am like Jonathan Livingston Seagull.
In reply to Headley
if there is an award for post of the year, this gets my vote

I see you on form .... Ive already stated my case and have every likkle ting in place .... no burial ground, nor funeral procession for me.
Wrap me up and ship me to di lab - in use for scientific progress.
In reply to np
I'm still laughing
In reply to np
I was going that route but it is really complicated here
In reply to Chrissy
Understood...
Your alternative is the best, next choice ... and would be mine too!!
In reply to Chrissy
I have never thought about it.
I do not share your opinion on religion but this is an excellent post.
In reply to Headley
The song is about God's faihtfullness to his people NOT the faithfullness of the deceased.
In reply to Chrissy
WTF?? We'll soon be eating curry goat snapper?
In reply to np
I will never understand why people spend so much money on dead people.
Some of them never provided as much as a pillow for the now 'dear' departed and keep dat body on ice for months while coming up wid di grand casket, service and feeding of di 5,000.
One a dem farewells in di Yard can cost over $1million.

In reply to black
Meet where? Chrissy is not invited to heaven, nor does she want to go.
I have never met di discourteous one and since it's over when yuh dead - it will so remain - and that's very good
In reply to Chrissy
That's why you have never been laid, married or in fact, HOT.
I cannot extend an invitation to you, now that rigor mortis has begun to set in.
I hope you make better choices in your next plain of existence. I'll be available then by invitation only...
Sincerely,
De discourteous one.
In reply to Emir
Leff di eediot
In reply to Chrissy
Why do you vacillate so?...one time, it's Nitro "not having a sense of humor"...now, de discourteous one is an "eediot."
The world will be a better place with de two ah you senile octogenarians gone.
Good riddance.
In reply to Chrissy
Thank you, and all the brethren for the award.
Many years ago after her father's funeral, mi girlfriend whose dad was a village ram explained to me that whenever the pastor in his sermon insert the words "he left no stone unturned" watch the choir and the reaction is a hint to those in the know.
If the grieving widow choose the hymn "Great is thy faithfulness" watch the choir.
In reply to Headley
Waaaaaaaaaaaah!
In reply to Emir
Suh you is indeed a Mullah? I thought Snoopy used to joke .....
In reply to Chrissy
you give up on the plan to donate your body to science?
In reply to cricketmygame
As I responded to np (above)- way too complicated here
In reply to Chrissy
when you burn at the stake ... nobody will care for your body parts
In reply to nickoutr
Still misogynistic and backwards - ah well.
In reply to Chrissy
I have decided on mine and it should be private and done in a hurry, I dont want hypocrites to be there and they are plentiful. If you cannot show love to someone when they are living, dont cry over their coffin like you were the reason they lived to their death! I learn the hard way, and after my moms passing, I called them all out about their fcuking hypocrisy... I am st peace with my mother passing but cannot forgave those that expedite it! My sons and wife will ensure mine is private!
In reply to Chrissy
A most beautiful statement. Fulfillment of self actualization. I've always admired your independence from external noise.

In reply to WestDem
Very smart - lawks some peeps take forever to bury people.
In reply to JahJah
Truth be told we have mutton snapper not goat snapper
In reply to hubert
Nice to hear from you. I was wondering what had become of you.
My condolences on your losses this year. The years roll on and, as it should be , but not always, the old should be buried by the young.
Being part of a large clan myself and, the last of the brood, with six ahead of me and batting strongly, I keep my perspective clear of all possibilities. I cherish every moment to be close to them.
What I expect of them and on myself is no burden on anyone.
In reply to pelon
Thanks bro - we re the truly lucky ones
In reply to hubert
Lovely post bro - delighted to see you. Sad to hear about your losses.
In reply to Chrissy
One of my niece asked me if I would want anything special at my funeral. I told her just one. To throw a wreath for people to catch to see who will go next...
She said that will surely empty the place.
In reply to Chrissy
Since (wo)man is a sexual being and his only purpose on earth is to procreate and propagate the species, why don't will your body to science since you haven't fulfilled your true purpose in life?
In reply to tops
Love it bro - dem will scatter ROFL.
Ruddie has company
In reply to Larr Pullo
GO tell that to the thousands I taught over these years.
In reply to Chrissy
That was your secondary purpose and no doubt you performed admirably in that respect. Teachers deserve a special award for the knowledge they impart to the learning generations.
However, that said, your primary purpose IS your primary purpose. Look at Serena, arguably the greatest Tennis player that ever lived and she still went ahead and did the do and had a baby. She did not let her Tennis playing prowess detract her from handling her business...if you know whata mean...
In reply to Larr Pullo
Chrissy heart was broken.
When her relationship with Powen dissolved
She was never the same again.
She closed up shop
Give the woman a bly nah.

In reply to Chrissy
Cremation, no funeral service but sincerely hope dat family and friends can come together for a no holes barred, good, bad and indifferent roast
In reply to Maispwi
I won't be there - dem can do what dem want- my family and friends get together often and enjoy more than a few roasts. They are way more valuable when folks are alive.
In reply to Runs
True true.
Di only debt I have is dis month's utility bills and dem due next week
In reply to Maispwi
some kind of casual inclusion of all orifice?
But seriously, does anyone know what happen after your last breath? Just enjoy your being and have lots of fun. Sometimes at others expense but still at the end of the day be considerate. This is what living is all about, be kind, respectful, seek respect, love every living creature, never waver in a love to bring people together and understand there are differences in all of us and accepting all differences without violence is better for all !
Live here for all in love and respect and allyuh can throw my dead body off a cliff when I am dead, I will be the happiest dead man!
THIS THREAD IS ENTERTAINING AND FUNNY AND IGNORANT AND MAN....WHAT A THREAD TO RUN WITH FOR THE REST OF THE YEAR!!!
CONGRATS CHRISSY!!
HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA
Like Chrissy...I dont fear death..but I do want to live long enough to be a grand father and see my daughters all married...my 8 year old so sharp and witty she might end up single cause she dont play lolol
I am confident of what will happen to my spiritual self...and funny enough...like Chrissy i too prefer cremation and wanted my ashes spread out over the Caribbean Sea...cause in spite of the piss poor leaders we have from time to time I still love this region with all my heart...from the Black kings and queens to those caucasians fortunate enough to share this space with us.
Selah.
In reply to powen001
OK Powen
Ya under oath?
Why did you break Chrissy Heart, you notice she hasn't recovered.
Since you are a man of the cloth, I know ya goona spill the beans. You sly dawg you?
I wouldn't post this, if I didn't verify it from unequivocal sources in Barbados.
Hmmmmmm, I wonder if Chrissy loved men with limited elevation?
OK Powen answer the question?
In reply to sgtdjones
Powen is a dude?
In reply to Chrissy
Hehe!
Chrissy is funny as usual but is right on.
She brought me back from de dead to get a good laff and I have to acknowledge that.
Thanks Chrissy!
I have been ready but not waiting for it, just enjoying whilst there is life.
This board was good for me to get connected to WI (and call out the Burnhamites ).
In reply to black
He is not short, has limited elevation.
Timely thread given the death of Grenadian Trevor Thwaites over the weekend. Not sure of details but it has taken everyone here by surprise. Good friend to Junior, who was with him every day that he was in hospital. Trevor was a journalist and a former boxer and cricketer.
Me...
cremation, sprinkle my ashes in the sea in front of Spice Island Beach Resort where I spent some happy years. My father asked me if I asked the owner permission I said I don't have to.
Our family is definitely not into the lavish funerals. When my maternal Grand died, the funeral was 3 days later and she was cremated. Her ashes are in my Mom's closest so she has been with us for the last 17 years.
Ok, bed time.
In reply to sgtdjones
What are you talking about? some fence can be 4ft 6in high
In reply to Yamfoot
funny enough, Grenada was my first Caribbean Island visited outside of BIM...and I fell in love with how much we had in common and yet that slight flavor of spice ...that subtle difference made me really fall in love with us all as a people

In reply to Yamfoot

In reply to Chrissy
See? Bet he was happy that his Grandmom donated herself to his learning. I she forget the cremation thing and donate your body to science.
BTW there is an element of intelligent design that decides yours and everyone else's purpose in life.
