West Indian power hitter Chris Gayle said he is happy to be a part of the BPL T20 once again and eager to open the innings with another explosive batsman of his generation, New Zealander Brendon McCullum, for their franchise Rangpur Riders.
“It is good to be back in Bangladesh and be a part of BPL once again. I am looking forward to another new team and in the first game [Saturday], hopefully, we can get off to a good start to get the team back in winning ways. It is great to be among the squad,” Gayle told the media Friday.
“We know how destructive McCullum is. It is a privilege to open the batting with him again. We opened together way back in the IPL (Indian Premier League). Now we are joining forces together again. It is new for both of us to come in and go for a blast but we have experience. The expectation is high on us to deliver. We want to try our best and win the game [Saturday].
