Emrit is a good cricketer but played in the wrong era with so many other all rounders in the region such as bravo, pollard, Russell, Carlos, etc

But he not better than any of those you called.
And those you called are usually referred to on this msb as mediocre cricketers.
So by that criteria, that makes Emrit more mediocre.

Cant call Emrit an allrounder, he rarely ever scores runs.
Congrats tho, a hard working cricketer.
IMO tho, never really demanded a pick due to his performances, always steady, maybe if he was younger he'd be worth investing in but the dude is at the end of his career.

Emrit excited by Windies call-up
T&T all rounder Rayad Emrit has been called up by the West Indies selectors for the upcoming T20 internationals against New Zealand in that country later this month.
Emrit’s name was among those called for the three-match T20 series.
Speaking about his elevation to the West Indies team he said:”I am happy to be part of the West Indies T20 squad to New Zealand. It was definitely a long wait but I am excited about the new challenge. God is Great!”
Emrit has been called up for the first time in this format. A medium-fast bowler and powerful lower-order batsman, he played two ODIs for Windies a decade ago in India. Missing out though is fellow countryman, the dangerous Evin Lewis, who opted out for personal reasons.
Emrit’s name was among those called for the three-match T20 series.

I remember for two years, emrit was the highest wicket taker in the super 50. then the sa tour came and lloyd picked some dude with a head like a yam from windwards who was the highest wicket taker two seasons before. Emrit has gotten a really raw deal

Andy u serious? Emrit was the leading wicket taker in the super 50 in 2013, and was in the top 3 for the next two years. Kenroy peters did it once and was put on a plane bound for south africa

Peters never made a WI ODI squad. He went to SA as a replacement for Roach on the test squad and his FC bowling stats are far superior to Emrit's.
Dere ODI stats are close but Emrit was the more effective bowler. Dat said, both situations appear to be a pre retirement package for hard working Regional players
