A number of fans, have been giving the English counties the highest of praise, for the development of the great West Indies players.
These greats dominated our regional and International cricket.
Is Hughes one of though players, that has limited ability as a batsman?
My belief is the great players, learned about professionalism by playing county cricket, and county cricket benefit from the group.
Hughes has been playing for 4-5 years, he has not shown the region, what he has learned by playing county cricket.

I was one here who was calling for him to get a shot in the WI senior team...a year ago
You had to be drinking and arguing with your buddies, he is one of the lemons, that you should not buy.

Monty Lynch came from England too and had so so returns in WI. Thought he would have been a shoo in to the senior side.

I will not say he did well for Guyana, was very average, stood straight high backlift, never stood a chance to make WI, many better players were around also.

I maintain he was not that good, watched him a few times, was not a fan of his technique. his overall stats are not good either.

Monty Lynch would have walked in this current WI team...back then he was blocked as an opener by Greenidge and Haynes.
