you need to lose these “negatively acquired” thinking that’s jumping out.

Au contraire, I joined this board last year and am seeing the same "GUYANESE" with the same mentality as Forbes and his racists jumping out all over here who tell the Indian people, get rid of your indianess

or

Man u better suck it up

SOCIOPATHS having no regards to feelings or rights of people, like a whole race in Guyana.

True, I don't know what is going in Guyana now but I see the prevailing Forbeshites around, mentality wise.

Au contraire

How can u say Au contraire, when someone suggest that u get rid of negativity that’s haunting u? …. Alright masa… continue to burden you self with it, since that is what make u feel better… But I am her to tell u that u aint going to solve shit by continuing with that mindset… and u and anyone who say otherwise… well… carry on dude.

That former post was as sincere a suggestion as I could muster…. Flagellate yourself as much as you want –

masochism - the tendency to invite and enjoy misery of any kind, especially in order to be pitied by others or admired for forbearance

In reply to birdseye1. Dude, on the contrary I was responding to the negative mentality a la Forbes that is still so prevalent amongst some here on the MB....
rather than me walking around with "negatively acquired thinking." Of course, hearing these SOBs carrying on does open up some neuronal pathways.....

2.Indians don't have to suck up because Forbes or some racists say so.
Au contraire, here we go again, you should face the monsters, castrate the SOBS big grin so the perpetrators don't think they pulled something off once upon a time and as such is their birtright to go about pulling the same stunt over and over.
Ever seen or talk to a pedophile, rapist or most crimminals?
Castration still works well, ask Berlin of Hopkins. cool

There are Indians in Guyana whether you "see" them or not...and they are very much alive inspite of Forbes and his legacy that is still evident in the prevalent mentality of some.

Forbes really fcuked up yall Berbician Indians, eh. Or is it really Cheddi? When that Indian from Beterverwagting Demerara called Balwant Singh Rai with group of Demerara Indians told Cheddi to fight back because it is the only way to get respect, wtf did he do - he kicked him out of the party!!!

They belong to Guyana and the WI, jUST SWALLOW THAT.

That is an undeniable fact.

Indians are superior to the blacks, or any other race (just ask Wifan), look at "Lord Shiv".....ok, at least equal to and not inferior to others.

That statement explains your neurosis. Npobody is superior to anybody.

Berbicians, of any race, are greater then Demerarians or any other people, even if they wuk in de mud and didn't have luxuries like in the projects.
Ok, well, they not below any smooth talking, fat talking, empty vessels who have no substance....and dey can outdrink anyone.

Berbicians are quality people but they have a pervasive weakness called fear. Indo-Berbicians have a livid fear of blacks in Guyana which helps to perpetuate their victimhood and which actually emboldens blacks. Indians from Demerara and particularly from Georgetown and East Bank are a different breed. Cheddi was born with that fear.

No surprise.

I have seen that ad nauseum on this board....and it is because the truth always shines through after initial opposition.

I change paradigms dude and keep things real.

Mot people jump to quick conclusions on stuff but i always pause and ask myself if there is another answer.

And in so doing, i usually gain a different perspective and make peeps realise that their initial conclusion may not be correct.

Example...............a guy is working and going to school. He never goes to the beach which is 2 minutes away.

I ask him why.

He replies that it is because he is busy with school.
Then..........he finishes school........

So i ask him how come school is finished and he still does not go to the beach.
He becomes speechless.

Yuh see............the real reason he does not go is because he aint interested in going, but he uses school as the excuse.....maybe it makes him feel good saying that he is in school.

Well, dem kinds uh tings yuh can run by nuff peeps but i ask questions dude.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.....

AAAAAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA..............
By the way....I can give yuh nuff more examples of stuff peeps say that sounds good but is not the REAL reason...........some of the examples tho would be hurtful to some

Oh well........regards anyway man.

P.S: Say hi to Alooballs, formerly Goofballs, fuh mih.

Spuds, if AlooBalls left at age 16 and has lived the majority of his adult life in North America and still has his own slanted view of Guyana, what does that tell you about these peeps who claim that they are fleeing from racism and victimisation - have they been able to evolve beyond it or is it something genetic? One would think that a new environment would provide an opportunity for an exploration of new ways of looking at old problems.

Has racism and victimhood evolved from a genuine issue to one that is now more of a common usage to better define a group? It probably makes sense for the purpose of forging collctivism and unity to argue that all were victims rather than some were victims or to admit that other groups were victims too.

The other point I wanted to raise is something that has probably never been raised with respect to this issue: are Indians in Guyana predisposed to victimhood because of cultural, religious and social reasons? The victimised imagery is very alive in Hindu culture and philosophy and is prevalent in the caste system. In fact, both groups, blacks and indians in guyana, have an entitlement to victimhood given the historical circumstances to their respetive arrivals and the nature of their interaction. Blacks in post-slavery Guyana had a right to feel aggrieved that the plantocracy undercut their demands for better wages and conditions by bringing in Indians. Indians had a right to feel aggrieved that blacks blamed them for undercutting them when it was really the planters.

Both groups practice victimhood but one does so more stridently.

What's your view on this:

Has racism and victimhood evolved from a genuine issue to one that is now more of a common usage to better define a group? It probably makes sense for the purpose of forging collctivism and unity to argue that all were victims rather than some were victims or to admit that other groups were victims too.

Dem Muslims have less victimhood issues in Guyana. In fact, a lot of blacks are converting from Christianity to Islam in Guyana.
