Anglo Asians coming through for England
In reply to Banner
What door is he knocking loudly on at this stage in his career?
In reply to Banner
they asians have always held their passion for the game we west indians have lost ours...therefore not surprised by de increase of asians in the england set-up.....we used have our two or three picks in that mix...

Solanki was dropped from the ODI team at a time when he had just scored some runs. Never recovered since. Ah well...no wonder the pommies suck big time at ODIs. They never pick their best ODI players.
In reply to Banner
there's a Harinath fella coming thru from Surrey too...
Arun Harinath

What's an Anglo Asian?
In reply to jaydee

Speaking to Five Live, he joked: "Hopefully they will be supporting England because I play for England! "In general I think my family and friends will be supporting England but they will be winners at the end of it because they have some Indian heritage as well as having British nationality."
Dear Banner, You follow Surya with his stupidness-Surya is a fool like You
Dear cousins, you are imitating the pale man
Avoid such reasoning and find god
This Ashes series is turning into a war between political correctness and the anarchist tendencies of modern cricket crowds.
I thought I was hearing things when the "Paki" chant emanated from the Vulture Street end at The Gabba. Some reports say there were also chants of: "Where's your Paki gone?" ? an abominable reference to England's Monty Panesar, a Sikh of Indian origin.
Well, if West Indies selectors pick on merit....
you will see many more Indian lineage players in the mix:
Current:
Shivnarine Chanderpaul
Ramnaresh Sarwan
Denesh Ramdin
Possible:
Amit Jaggernauth
Ravi Rampaul
Narsingh Deonarine
In reply to Banner They all played before and has not improve what so ever.

What door is he knocking loudly on at this stage in his career? He is finished at international level.
In reply to MarcusGarveyLives
he's knocking on the door of a lovely bollywood young lady
In reply to Banner
He's probably behind Broad, Jones and Harmlessone in the queue now.
In reply to MarcusGarveyLives
Mahmood is ahead of Broad in the bowling department but definitely behind Jones and Harmy. Im surprised that Jones is not back just yet.
In reply to doosra
Interesting statement, because Mahmood has been out of cricket since the WC.
In reply to CricketLuva4
no, Mahmood is currently playing for Lancs...and taking a bag of wickets too...
whoz not better than 19 wickets from 8 matches...let me check Mahmood's record
damn, Saj is just slightly ahead...hahaha
20 wickets from 8 matches...@ 38...Saj;s bowling average is better than Broad's by some way though.

My younger brother used to bowl rings around Arun when he trained with Surrey's under 15 in Guilford. There was also a boy by the name of R.Hamilton-Brown who has already represented Surrey, none of them could play my brother,my brother was also a very promising left handed opening bat and bowled right arm leg break and googly. At one time he played for Middlesex under 17 but he gave up the game and cited racism and prejudices of sorts. Those Asians that were pointed out as England's future will never make it,they would always be one off players.I have seen my brother out bowl and out bat all the under 17s at Middlesex and when the team get selected to play another county he is not in the final 11.This has happened at both Surrey and Middlesex. Some Asians go on to county level but I could never understand why my brother was treated like that.My brother was so fed up that he even gave up club cricket. He is now 21 and a top South African official at Ealing CC WHO KNEW HIM FROM THE AGE OF 9 IS TRYING TO ENTICE HIM BACK IN THE GAME.
"If you look at the England set-up, on the one hand they make it very plain that they try to have a pecking order, then all of a sudden they will jump outside of that when it seems to suit them. I think that's confusing for players.
"You only have to look at the [Darren] Pattinson selection. Kabir Ali has taken 50 wickets and he's wondering what he has to do ..."

I wonder.
In reply to Banner
Darren from Victoria in Australia can get into the England team, but Kabir from Moseley in Birmingham can't?
Interesting.

In reply to doosra

Based on some other post, I asked him if he used to be karela since we don't see karela posting anymore..
In reply to Surya
