In reply to jala
wait, yuh hoping dat he alive?
In reply to thefan
why he shouldn't be alive???
apart from what police reported...what EVIDENCE the public got that he guilty.
We don't use the courts as first option no more???....especially since we return to democracy???
In reply to xyberkidd
apart from what police reported...what EVIDENCE the public got that he guilty.
We don't use the courts as first option no more???....especially since we return to democracy???
Let's assume he's an innocent man. Was he committing a crime in attacking the GDF base?
If he descended upon and attacked an army base, are you saying that the army should not have shot at him and tried to bring him alive?
Now regarding teh EVIDENCE, why didn't Fineman, after all the "accusations" and so-called evidence, show his face, proclaim his innocence and allow himself the full protection of the court process?
In reply to thefan
You saw him attacking the army base????
or you just take the GDF word for it....which one???
In reply to thefan
I ain't saying he innocent....but if we have a proper process of justice....is COURTS first.
Even Saddam was given his day in court.
Isn't that part of what the PPP restored in 1992???
My main point is.....NOTHING wrong with Jala hoping that he is alive.....cause if he was caught alive we could have LEARNT from him....he could have led the PPP to the big fishes in the PNC that they claimed were funding and supporting him.....ent?
In reply to xyberkidd
or you just take the GDF word for it....which one???
Good point. Let me rephrase. Fineman was killed in a shootout with the GDF, which occurred in close proximity to a GDF base. So innocent citizen Fineman turning up at the GDF base ain the presence of other confirmed criminals to proclaim his innocence when he was attacked and killed by soldiers?? btw, Fineman does not know how the criminals were in his company when he turned up to turn himself in and confirm his innocence?
In reply to thefan
Do you have evidence that he is innocent????
After fineman is who

Rass
both men shot at the back of the head???
hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm....check Kaieteur News (if you can stomach it)...I still don't know why they allow that newspaper to do that.
what are the odds of that happening in a heated shootout???
However, the gullible Guyanese will rejoice over the killing of these two men as many questions will be left unanswered.
When Shawn Brown was killed in Prashad Nagar....he had given himself up. However the police went over him and did what they usually do.
police reports later said he was killed in the shootout.
dead man tells no tales.
In reply to xyberkidd
Xyber- I was in Prashad Nagar when de policemen cordon off de road and let thru two dark pickups carrying certain individuals. Nuff shooting and channa bombs explosions could be heard and teh dark pick ups were clearly seen leaving the scene for all the public to see. About 20 mins later a police/GDF truck with open back rolled out with horns blazing and teh dead criminals laid out in the back.
In my opinion the police men in that truck did not look like the type who were just involved in a fire fight.
In reply to windian
dat was the "secret service"...
so yuh din see when dem man run by the garbage can in the next yard and lie down in surrender???
but the "secret service" and police don't play surrender.
In reply to SpudsMcKenzie
why u so ashamed to identify yuhself eh?.....represent like a man!...or are you?...
In reply to windian
In my opinion the police men in that truck did not look like the type who were just involved in a fire fight

Man I have to say this I am really suprise 80% a guyanese really happy with the JS on killing fineman.
iMAGINE READING ALL THE COMENTS On Stabroek news comendint the JS on job well done it only had 1 or 2 negative comment
In reply to bugz
Most of the lil idiots in the West Indies in general, need to killed en masse, this is not our life, let us live ours, leave the other people life to them.
In reply to Patrickcity
In reply to jala
Guyanese people short sighted and suffer from memory loss easily....settle for mediocrity at all levels and excuse the incompetency of the system just to give themselves false hope that things are getting better.
The very people who support the sidetracking of the rule-of-law are the same people who will bawl when it slap them back in the face hard hard.
The police force has not built proper community relations...we go about hunting down CERTAIN criminals in the same barbaric way the criminals operate...and when atrocities are committed...and the proper procedure is not followed...we sing praises.
Nobody cares how Fineman was clearly shot at close range at the back of his head...why??? Because we think he deserves it...and maybe he does...but we are continuing to give the police the feeling that it is ok to "finish off" wounded men who are shot down by blasting out their brains....which according to law is equal to murder.
Why do we even have courts and a justice system??? WHat about interrogation? These are two men who were fingered in the murders of 50+ people INCLUDING a Gov't minister....and yet we rejoice in "finishing them off"???
something is wrong!!!
In reply to xyberkidd
What the fcuk is wrong with you.
How much money you does get from the gang
Its ok to kill a family
In reply to jala
You does get protection from fineman right.
Fineman was innocent.
Human rightsssssssssssss
In reply to xyberkidd
Do u remember a jamaican guy who was on the run 2/3 years ago in Florida after shooting a cop(s) and they did an interview with a big police official and he more or less said that when they catch the jamaican in the wooded area that they would kill him right there??
listen up.................is not only in the caribbean these things happen okay??
An indian man lass nite was bigging up Fineman to me and trying to tell me that fineman was some kinda hero in the black commumity........I tell him i aint want to hear dat skunt and buss he rass off before i had to done the action at Sidewalk.
It probably was windian skunt!!
In reply to bugz
Listen...everything should have order and procedure.
I gotta be a supporter of Fineman because I believe in his right to be brought in alive if he is not dead when shot down???
I am his supporter because I don't believe policemen should hold guns to the heads of men who are down and "finish them off".
I am his supporter because I believe that if we have a Judicial process we should use it???
I am a Fineman supporter because I believe in Human rights and I'm against extra-judicial killings???
In reply to SpudsMcKenzie
I don't care if it happens in London, France or Timbuktu...right is right and wrong is wrong.
when you encourage wrong....it usually backfires.
In reply to xyberkidd
You are also a skunt if you believe that it is ok to shoot innocent kids in cold blood while they are sleeping...what are their human/judicial rights????
In reply to nevavex
Did I say so???
Fineman is a criminal....Jim Jones was a psycho...criminals and psychos do these things...
but does it mean that the people who uphold LAW and ORDER should play by their rules???
If yes, then I say there is no need for the law!!!
In reply to xyberkidd
Maaaaaaaaaan......if i meet yuh rass, is 2 cuff before i even say anything to u...............is straight hospital yuh going to patch up yuh broken nose.

and u are a fool for subscribing for the eye for and eye philosophy........these are the days of human rights and convictions by trial........Guyana is quickly becoming a society ruled by the gun, powerful politicians and their acolytes.....God help us all
In reply to xyberkidd
So what do you tell the families who suffered from this. What happen with the man who return home from TT and aint got a family.
What about his rights.
You behaving they we the simple dont have rights and we should all become criminals to get human rights cause is only when a criminal get shot you does hear the human rights
In reply to jala
Most of them very selective with their criminals...

So when you go by the sea wall and some one steal a head light from "Jesus Freak" You gone tell them to come back and give them next one to complete the pair plus give them some money too.
So its a light for a light
In reply to xyberkidd
So criminals must be treated to a higher standard
Tell Bharat to roll out the red carpet for the criminals
In reply to bugz
very irrelevant example..........
So everytime some does something wrong to u, u will kill dem????????....steups......
In reply to jala
Suh what philosophy you subscribe to ? Turn the other cheek?
In reply to nevavex
Man get nuff cheek
In reply to bugz
I have nothing more to say...
I gon start a thread when all dis backfire.
In reply to SpudsMcKenzie
You are an idiot for inferring
I am somehow in support of Fineman .....
I am somehow a PNCite.....
I have indicated neither in any of my previous posts and I am glad to see these criminals get put down. However as the saying goes - Dance a bottom but look a top.
Xyber is unto something when he suggests that the photos indicate that both individuals were shot at close range and this suggests an inside job. Futhermore if you read the reports you will see that the JS had ranks remove from the camp because they were suspected on being in collaberation with fineman and his people.
Now look at the list of wanted men ...you will see James Gibson is on that list..again.
Rumours on the ground is that the killing of criminals ( and this one in particular ) is carried out by private enterprise because the JS is a lame duck due to the reasons mentioned above. Do you realise that Skinny was probably deliberately let out by police on advise from private enterprise?
Once the status quo continues regarding the security infrastructure gangs ( consisting of corrupt individuals from within). It is up to the Govt to rectify this situation by creating a civil security apparataus rather than resorting to private security measures which almost always end in disaster.
Anyway your type need not worry fineman dead ..everthing honkydhurie ...buy a banks...read de skanicle ..jump and wave..crime will take a nose dive...We gon be safe doan tek worries. Yall come home ...
In reply to xyberkidd
but does it mean that the people who uphold LAW and ORDER should play by their rules???
If yes, then I say there is no need for the law!!!
WTF is wrong with you? Everybody wants the rule of law to be upheld even those fcukin Iraqis tekking bullets to their brains by the greatest upholder of the rule of law.
Listen don't talk skuntery in isolation. Guyana has never had a proper effective rule of law. In the absence of a proper rule of law and operating procedures, the results will always be skewed all over the place. You are one of the biggest fcukin critics of the competence of the police and GDF and probably rightly so yet still you expect them to be able to uphold the rule of law in a propitious manner?
I would agree with you there. There's one set who see criminals as innocent freedom fighters and the other set who see drug kingpins as legitimate businessmen and upstanding citizens.
Dat picture on front page of Fineman looks like a dummy

In reply to Banner
how about these ones
In reply to windian
bannuh, I believe n justice for all, but something about killing any person in cold blood feels very wrong to me....especially a 25 year old....a 15 year old
In reply to thefan
Only time yuh mek sense on dis issue!!!
....However, I sense that you are dismissing me and all those who bemoan the breakdown of rule of law in Guyana as being in support of fineman and those who referred to him as "freedom fighters"...
What is so wrong in saying that police should not kill people in cold blood????
You are a product of the propaganda in Guyana....walk about branding everyone that criticise the CLEAR lack of regard for rule of law in Guyana as "Fineman symphatisers"...
I pity you all.....
In reply to xyberkidd

Look, I am not you. The breakdown of the rule of law was in place since 1964. The rule of law now is better than the rule of law then in a relative sense.
The strict application of the rule of law is virtually impossible in circumstances of a shootout or where a group is acting in self-defence after coming under attack. The attack on an army or police camp effectively suspends the rule of law when the combatants are engaged in a life or death struggle. Stop confusing the issue of the efficacy of policing tactics with the exercise of rule of law.
Is there any evidence that Fineman and his cohorts were capable of being caught alive?
Are you telling me that in a situation where bullets are flying and combatants are shooting at each other the rule of law must apply and how so?
You seriously need to take your fackin head out of dat sandbox.
In reply to xyberkidd
exactly ...and ah notice Spuds join de bandwagon as well.
Dis is the way it is in GT if yuh criticise de govt yuh is a PNCite. Ah so it go wid Guyanese dey can't see that the govt's refusal to address the 'police/GDF' problem once and for all will continue to result in more brazen criminality we witnessing today.
In reply to windian

You do know that the majority of dem man in the police and army vote heavily for PNC, right?
I don't believe you are fcukin blaming the police/GDF as the reason for criminality and the basis for more brazen criminality, you gotta be friggin kidding me. So criminals who choose to kill when committing a robbery rather than simply take the money and flee are doing so because of the police and GDF?
In reply to thefan
he has a right to blame them
The POLICE/Army have a bunch of indisciplined people who readily accept bribes and harass those who refuse to pay bribes....they are a pack of corrupt men...
In reply to jala
That has been from time immemorial. But to assert that crimes will increase to new brazen in Guyana because the army takes bribes and harass people who refuse those bribes is ridiculous. Are you telling me that a youth will go out and buy and gun, plot a home invasion and kill a family or to take it to another level to poison the water supply of entire communities simply because the army killed some suspected criminals in cold blood with first trying to capture them while in the midst of a gunfight and because the army takes bribes?
In reply to thefan
But to assert that crimes will increase to new brazen in Guyana because the army takes bribes and harass people who refuse those bribes is ridiculous.
If yuh know yuh could buy out the police force...yuh ain't tink it gon be easier fuh order a hit on someone...then walk away free???
If police and army tekking bribe and selling out the AK's ....what the skunt yuh expect????
yuh talking bare shit!
In reply to xyberkidd
If police and army tekking bribe and selling out the AK's ....what the skunt yuh expect????
yuh talking bare shit!
You don't have to buy out teh army in order to put a hit on someone. Contract killings are a drop in the bucket compared to other crimes.
Listen, the army despite its limitations is doing teh best it can. It is catching criminals. It can't catch criminals in the govt and those they protect (kingpins) because they are its masters but that can change if the army decides to do so. It is underpaid, underfunded and work in atrocious conditions but it still does the best it can. However, there is no friggin substantial link between increased criminality and the army and police.
In reply to thefan
when a crime fighting team is compromised from inside, it is rendered useless and ineffective........remember dat...imagine if u have two in every brigade
In reply to thefan
the army's role is not to catch criminals
In reply to windian
That right there is a classic case of subliminal exposure.
Look, I know some people are upset and pissed that Fineman the freedom fighter got killed and see the actions of teh army in killing him instead of trying to bring him in as flaunting the rule of law but I can't understand why the army is being targeted for finally doing their job and engaging Fineman without being embarassed. I know some people are pissed that Fineman got his fcukin head blown to pieces and that their freedom fighter's or another black man's death under the Indian-led PPP corrupt govt is so upsetting that they see this event as leading to more crime but the truth is simply this: anybody who see this event as putting blame solely on the police and as triggering a backlash of increased criminality has some seriously fcuked up sympathies and endemic psychological issues.
I am inclined to think that some Guyanese blacks saw Fineman as an identifiable pariah, a savage beast that was never destroyed but kept at the edge of the village in shackles and a relatable outcast who did everything they are against but were bemused that it embarassed the govt of the day, which is a stinking cesspool of corruption and protectors of kingpins. It is the entrapment of the Guyanese mentality that we cannot think without division or without the multiplication of our inner prejudices. To Indians Fineman was the devil himself and was the political arm of the PNC, which was hell bent on destruction.
Some blacks hate him for the murders he may have committed but are indifferent when he embarasses the bumbling govt and its cochore police/army forces. A far greater percentage of Indians hated him because he brought fear to them and was a threat to their govt. So we are left with questions from black Guyanese of whether he did it, where is the evidence, it was a cover up or set up, the govt is responsible, rule of law was not followed, the army is to blame, the army are the real bandits, the govt is corrupt and in bed with kingpins, etc. Yes, we are left with a plethora of questions, issues, concerns, excuses, reasons, justifications, rebuttals, propositions, theories, etc. The Indians have absolutely no questions at all about this. These issues are viewed so deeply within the spectrum of race and politics that the probative value of the event is lost.
The truth is that Fineman was to some Black Guyanese what Roger Khan was to some Indian Guyanese.

1. The Buxton uprising began when the POLICE broke into the home of Shaka Blair and murdered him. Eusi Kwayana filed private charges against Merai for the killings and it was thrown out by the DPP...next ting...big protest...burning...after dat...they encouraged and sheltered criminals who were seen as "folk heroes" for their attack on policemen. Many joined in because of other perks...Would Buxton had exploded if the Shaka Blair incident hadn't occured???...maybe not.
2. 33 AK 47's went missing from the army base. Two (they claim) were found as recent as yesterday in the possession of Fineman and Skinny.
3. Roger Khan, Belfield and Haroon were found with a vehicle full of weapons and ammunition along with an illegal tracking device...They were held at an army check point. The soldier who held them got a phone call from a senior official saying they should release them...he refused...the men were charged...and later walked!
4. The escapees had "inside" tip off men within the police force who would alert them when the police were planning raids.
etc. etc. etc.
Army and police are doing WHAT BEST????
you living in a dream world...
All that happen is that the thugs are being uprooted.....while the masterminds are still pulling strings behind the scene.

The truth is that Fineman was to some Black Guyanese what Roger Khan was to some Indian Guyanese.
Please read my posts properly. Perhaps my message is not getting through so I will once again summarise what I have been saying from day one.
Everyone knows that the Police/GDF have historically voted heavily for the PNC. The PPP has inherited this as their security apparatus - THIS IS THE 'POLICE/GDF' problem I am talking about. How can we the Guyanese feel secured when we know that there are elements within the GDF/Police who are in cahoots with Fineman and his likes and have been for years ( missing AK47s my ass!)
What I am annoyed by is the Govt refusal to address this problem from DAY1. The PPP have not spent any time devising a strategy for reforming the security apparatus, rather the attitude has been - 'we is PPP and is we time if yall ain't want fight crime we gon bring in consultants'. The consultants have come in and have managed to buy the loyalty of police/GDF top brass and small ranks by non political incentives - while this has helped in the short term ( some known criminals who would otherwise be roaming the streets have been cleaned up) - it has only compunded the situation especially given the day job activities of these consultants. We have then ended up with the numerous massacres and situation we have today.
Now that Fineman is dead a lot of blind PPPites will be celebrating without realising the govt has simply applied a little plaster to a body of festering sores and don't be suprise if we see some new gang popping up - that list of wanted men is a long one and there is no doubt in my mind that personnel we trust to carry out security are right now in cahoots with some of these 'wanted gang members'.
Rather than sacking the odd top brass and moving people around there needs to be a comprehensive strategy to make the security service a civil defence force. I have not seen a single step by the PPP in this direction , rather they are happy to leave us Guyanese to face the risk of rising criminality.
I hope this makes my position clearer.
ok, so the title should read "Fineman caught.... a bag ah bullet"
