Friday, September 9th, 2005Is it really a Caribbean/West Indies World Cup? Not according to outgoing board chairman Rawle Brancker:
Caribbean companies are not being given a fair break in gaining contracts for business ventures of the 2007 Cricket World Cup.
The assertion was made by outgoing Chairman of the World Cup Committee Rawle Brancker, speaking last night on Sagicor’s Line & Length programme.
Brancker revealed that the insurance premium contract has been awarded to an English company for six million Barbados dollars, following another big contract to an Australian company to create a Caribbean mascot and logo.
