Imran on Sarwan

Imran Khan (not the former Pakistani cricketer) has a well-written feature on the evolution of Ramnaresh Sarwan as a superstar on the ODI circuit. Sometimes, I think Imran gets carried away too much with the superlatives and adjectives but his closing note that Sarwan has much to prove against the Aussies in two months’ time puts everything into perspective.

Personally, I think Sarwan is now (even more so than before) carrying the stigma that he’s weak against genuine pace bowling on helpful tracks. Like Imran said, he needs to score heavily against the likes of McGrath, Lee and Gillespie in the Caribbean to prove otherwise.
