The Brisbane Heat has signed the world’s number one international T20 bowler for this summer’s KFC T20 Big Bash League. West Indian leg-spinner Samuel Badree will join New Zealand legend Daniel Vettori as the Heat’s slow bowling options for BBL|04. Badree is currently the number one ranked bowler on the ICC’s official Player Rankings, a position he has occupied since starring for the West Indies at this year’s World T20 championships in Bangladesh. The 33-year-old Physical Education teacher from Trinidad & Tobago claimed the Windies best ever T20 figures of 4-15 from four overs on the way to finishing with 11 wickets at 10.27 with an economy rate of 5.65.

At least he will get games to play....and showcase his class in this format
In the IPL under Dhoni....he warms bench...an insult to the top ranked T20 bowler

If the Big Bash has similar rules i.e. a limit on the # of foreigners in the starting XI, he'll likely face similar issues as he faced at CSK i.e. play him or another who has more allround ability.
Badree is excellent in his specialty, but he's also a liability in the field and doesn't contribute with the bat. Most teams can live with being excellent in one, but you must be able to hold your own in the field unless you're a match winner like a Narine.
Congrats Badree....happy you're getting these opportunities to make some decent $$$ at this stage of your career. Good for you

Music that is one set ah bullshit.
When you is #1 in the world, especially as a bowler, you are us valuable as ever.
Anything else is a bonus.

I respect your opinion. I just happen to disagree with it

Not the first time me see you talk about fielding and battiing WRT Badree before so I know.
I can see where you coming from, problem is I think you underestimating Badree with the ball.
There's only 1 Narine, none other comes close in T20 but after him Badree is right up there with the others.
Just to expand on my opinion, the only way a franchise team can justifiable leave out a #1 ranked guy is if they are well stocked on home talent who are world class or near world class in that area.
Which is why Sami remains on the sidelines fuh CSK, they already have Ashwin and Jadeja.
