Windies wicketkeeper/batsman Denesh Ramdin has been dropped from the West Indies limited overs team for the all important tri-nation series set to begin in Zimbabwe from August 19. Ramdin was cut from the team, which needs to win this tournament to get the necessary points to qualify for the 2017 Champions Trophy in England.
The Trinidad Guardian is reporting
The West Indies are currently eighth on the International Cricket Council (ICC) ODI rankings and Pakistan follows closely on their heels in ninth position. By the September 30 cut off date, the top eight sides in the world will advance to the Champions Trophy. The West Indies cannot catch seventh place Bangladesh after their win over South Africa recently, so they have to beat Pakistan and Zimbabwe in this tri-nation tournament to maintain their eighth spot in order to qualify.

Reports from Islamabad have confirmed that Pak tour of Zim for the tri nations will not take place.
Pak has not ratified the tour.
WI only hope is to ride on the BCCI anti Pak stance AND hope for India to invite WI, even if this happens, WI changes are very slim

"Pakistan and Zimbabwe have decided to put on hold their limited-overs series that was to be played from August 17 to September 17 in Zimbabwe. Although no definite reason has been identified for the postponement of the series, a likely one is that Pakistan did not want to jeopardise their qualification for the 2017 Champions Trophy....Zimbabwe had also floated an idea for a tri-series involving West Indies, but with Pakistan qualifying for the Champions Trophy, the PCB seems to have had a change of heart, leaving Zimbabwe to scrap their plan."
This is just too funny for words....

If WI don't qualify for the Champions Trophy, it may be a blessing in disguise. This should be a wake up call to all involved, from Mgmt to players that we need to seriously step up our game. No automatic money here. Work for it if you want it.

Ramdin in the WI side was like tits on a bull. useless - The mans been around forever and has shown zero improvement. Mediocrity being his only consistency
