West Indies Test captain Denesh Ramdin is looking forward to some rest and relaxation following the Hero Caribbean Premier League Twenty20 after being left out of the West Indies ODI side for the tri-series in Zimbabwe in August-September featuring the hosts and Pakistan.

A newspaper report yesterday said the West Indies Cricket Board selectors had opted to drop Ramdin from the ODI squad for the upcoming series but the WICB has not sent out any official correspondence to confirmation the selection of any team.

Ramdin, who is the captain of the Guyana Amazon Warriors for the CPL, said he was not aware of the move by the West Indies selectors “but if that is the case I will have some extra time to spend with my son (Adair).”

He will not get back in. Dowrich it seems is earmarked for d spot with Clive LLOYD'S YOUTH MOVEMENT.

Also it is coming to pass under LLoyd.

Less Guyanese and Trinis on d team equals "true " image of West Indies teams that he and Viv had dreams about since the 80's.

Dont think Bravo , Pollard will fit into your explanation.

I feel it is a systemic removal of players who are in favor of Previous WIPA Leadership. This is to get better control over the players and give more flexibility for WICB to do as they deem right.

Say a Holder / Hope / Blackwell / KB / Carter will never question WICB decisions whatever it may be.

A wise person once said about sports, "Winning isn't everything, it's the only thing." It would appear the WICB has a different view, which is, "Winning means nothing".
