HEADLINE: A THORNY ISSUE: It starts at the top

CaribbeanCricket.com Aug 5, 2015, 3:24:52 AM

IT CUTS DEEP to the core that it is more than likely the once mighty West Indies cricket team won't be part of the lineup for the next ICC Champions Trophy.

It is a situation that represents how far and how quickly we have fallen from the top of the cricket ladder in the past two decades.

There seems to be nothing that can halt the slide no matter how hard regional administrators try.

Not even the creation of centres of excellence, high performance academies, revised concepts on regional competitions, central contracts, more money and more benefits for players.

Nothing seems to be working to take us back up the ladder, in fact, it seems the more we do, the faster we are sliding down the ladder and the returns are minimal.

And that's the precise reason we won't be in the Champions Trophy: we have fallen from the top eight of international cricket. To think that not so long ago, the West Indies ruled the cricketing world like none before or since!

Perhaps we are looking in the wrong direction to fix the problem. We might just be placing the cart before the horse.

The "gentleman's game" is now openly run by a bunch of crooks at all levels - ICC, national and lower levels. WI cricket is particularly corrupted, with plenty of support!

We wanted it so and now we have it so. So, why complain?

Go, Cameron!
Go, Sanasie!

It would be very interesting if " The
Big Boys " in the Sport Media in the Region start Ranting , then maybe the
freaking Tide will have turned .

But I aint about to hold my breath ,because if that happens ; I might be drowned in a Sea of Rantings against
those in the governance of Cricket in the Region .

It seems that at last some of the blind are beginning to see the Light . " WEST INDIES CRICKET IS THE

HUMPTY DUMPTY OF CRICKET "

It aint me who say so , it was a
Contributor to the Readers Bureau , the link was supplied by XDFIX .

Then there is :

A THORNY ISSUE : IT STARTS AT THE TOP
by Andi ThornHill .

2017 MILLION DOLLAR QUESTION
FOR THE WICB - By Andre Baptiste .

I am only quoting from those who apparently have seen the Light . I
do not consider what these persons
have written as Ranting , perhaps others in this Forum do .

They are more or less stating the same things I have been stating here for a long time ,and as a result I am vindicated .

Mr. Cameron makes Mr. Hunte look like a legend, Mr. Hunte seemed to be more forward thinking and organized.

It is strange , that Thornhill & Baptiste when they write , what they
write is never described as ranting ,
but when I write , it is described as ranting .

The point I am making is the biasness
of some here who have a freaking
vested interest in the Status Quo , remaining the same .

Did he confirm that? It would be great for this forum to have someone of his stature attend and ask questions. Good on you POINT

The root cause of our decline could very well be a damning reflection on the standard of governance and the way the game is played at domestic level.

Is this plagiarism? No acknowledgement was given to the originator of the exact statement seen here on this very board many times.

POINT?

I really do not care having people echoing
what I have stated & state in this Forum . I am always delighted when people more or less state what I have state, in this Forum .

I will persist , because I am fully confident that the Issues I address
are valid , I have also always stated
what needs to be done . I am aware that I aint , Andi Thornhill , or Andre Baptiste .

They have a much wider readership than I have in this Forum , and I Salute you & others who have
agreed with my position in this Forum .
