HEADLINE: Guillen: The entire board must go

CaribbeanCricket.com Oct 1, 2015, 2:48:23 AM

“It is going to be very difficult to get any changes to the set of the WICB but all cricket fans as stakeholders must do what it takes to be heard and apply pressure for change.”

Given the current situation with the problems afflicting West Indies cricket, Queen’s Park manager Jeffrey Guillen is calling for the resignation of the entire West Indies Cricket Board (WICB).

On Monday, coach Phil Simmons was suspended for his public comments concerning the continued snubbing of Dwayne Bravo and Kieron Pollard by the West Indies selectors for the ODI team.

Guillen who attended the WICB Town Hall meeting in Trinidad last week and asked the president of the WICB, why he didn’t resign after the Indian fiasco said: “We have reached a state in our cricket now where we are in serious problems and I have been calling for the president of the board to resign after India but I think the entire board should go now and let us start over with new men and implement the PJ Patterson report on the governance of West Indies cricket.

Finally someone is the fraternity is standing up, but more outrage and protest is required.

Again, I am asking why hasn't the the respective DPP's look in to allegations of fraud by the executive of the WICB? Threat of prosecution is one sure way to get them scared.

Time for talk is long over. I wish I had the money to take the WICBandits to court but I don't.
The entire WICB should be in jail.

It is good to see that Some people are beginning to SEE THE LIGHT . I guess
those who laugh at what I write aint
laughing anymore .

It will be very interesting to hear
the opinions , of what the Sacred Scribes in the Region have to personally say , by that I mean , their opinions , not the opinions of others .

If there were no resignations over the Indian debacle, why should one expect any such over the suspension of a coach.

The voices calling for resignations now should have been screaming at the top of their lungs at the international embarrassment caused by the manner of the termination of the Indian tour.

I have been calling for Comrade C's head since day one of the Indian debacle, but now I say, let him stay. Let's see the extent to which one man's hubris and those of his cohorts can destroy a once respected brand.

Not the entire WICB, there are some good men in there. The WICB have some very competent personnel. The problem mostly is with some of the directors and the bigger boys.

In my opinion THEY ALL HAVE TO GO .
because they are ALL steeped in a Culture of Mediocrity . None of them have exemplified any semblance of realizing that Cricket is a very serious Business , that demands that the Business of Cricket is treated very Seriously .

What is needed are People with Fresh Thinking , and the ability to think outside the Box . I will forever maintain that Cricket would be best run in the Region , in my opinion , by Former Great Players .

The Former Great Players who were in the governance of the Regional Tournament did an excellent job , yet
I have not heard , or read that they were commended for their Services .

Many of the WICB SYCOPHANTS in the Region , prefer instead to keep harping on Stanford & his Ponzi Scheme . As if they were culpable for
Stanford's Deeds .

In essence to diminish these former Players achievements in the governance of the shortest version of the game in the Region . The SYCOPHANTS of the WICB indulged in
a Systematic Campaign to tar those
former Great Players with the deeds of Stanford .

Let me once again state in this Forum ;
NONE OF THE FORMER PLAYERS WHO WERE

IN THE GOVERNANCE OF THE REGION'S

SHORTEST VERSION OF THE GAME WERE

ARRESTED OR JAILED FOR BEING

ASSOCIATED WITH STANFORD , IN THE

LATTER'S PONZI SCHEME .

Now that being the case ,people need
to stop maligning what they did . I
suspect that this may have been orchestrated by Allies of the WICBC .

THE FACT IS LIKE IT OR NOT , IT IS

THE EFFORTS OF THESE UNSUNG HEROES

THAT MADE OUR TEAM'S PLAYERS WIN A

WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP . THE WICBC HAD

ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO DO WITH THAT

TEAM'S ACHIEVEMENT .

It is the structure, change Cameron without a structural changes will not solve the problem, with the WICB.

For over a decade I have been saying that the Structure must change , Where
were You ???

In my response to you elsewhere in this
Forum , the WICBC has Commissioned
various Reports , and then rejected them . My take is that in essence you are saying that WE must leave the WICBC to do as it wants .

You cannot really be serious , the
reason why these Reports were rejected by the WICBC , is that it fears that it is going to lose some of its power .

Like it or not the WICB does not exist in a Vacuum , neither the WICBC
or the ICC own any Stadia in the Region , many of the Stadia in the
Region , are owned by Taxpayers .

It is therefore important that the
Taxpayers through their Governments
have a role REGARDING Cricket in
the Region . I would readily agree that if the WICBC had its own Cricket
Grounds in the Region , it could do whatever it wants . But that aint the case .

Dude most posters on this board has said the same thing, we just don't make it our daily saying.
We post daily on the topic of the day
The poster that attack you, are tired of repetition, you are not bringing into new to the message board
Postters spoke for and against every president, Coach and CEO, most of us know about every report that was commission, so why would anyone, want to make the WICB their daily posting?

POINT Oct 2, 2015, 11:45:31 AM

I am on record in this Forum stating that There must be One Entity , with two Departments , A CRICKET DEPARTMENT
& A ADMINISTRATIVE DEPARTMENT .

The Cricket Department will be Responsible for EVERYTHING PERTAINING
TO CRICKET . I do mean EVERYTHING .
The decisions of this Department
cannot be abridged or overturned by the Administrative Department .

This Department , will be staffed by
former Great West Indies Players ; as
I have stated in this Forum often .
Those Players who were in charge of the Regional Tournament in the shortest version of the game .

It is because of their Stewardship that Our Players & Team won the World Championships in the shortest version
of the game . Please spare me any Bull Shit about Stanford ; because NONE of those who were the Stewards of the Shortest Version of the game in the Region , were arrested or were prosecuted for being involved in Stanford's Ponzi Scheme , yet they have been Tarred & Discredited by the Sycophants of the WICB , to discredit
& diminish the work these persons did .
Currently in the shortest version of the game , our Team is ranked at # 4 . Meanwhile , in the longer versions of the game ; which is under the Stewardship of the WICBC ; our Team
is a Bottom Dweller in # 9 position .

Two Members of the Cricket Department
must be in attendance of ALL Meetings
of the Administrative Department .

The Administrative Department will
have the usual complement of Officers . President ; Vice President ; Treasurer ; Asst. Treasurer ; Secretary ; Asst. Secretary ; PRO STAFF ; A LEGAL ADVISOR ; etc .

In my Structure the Cricket Department , being in control of everything pertaining to Cricket , without any outside interference is
permanent , in essence , My thinking on this aint ever going to change .

POINT Oct 2, 2015, 3:21:01 PM

It should be obvious , that Once the Structure is going to change there must be New Elections for posts in the Entity .

It makes no sense pouring New Wine into Old Bottles or Vice Versa .Frankly
many People in the governance of Cricket in the Region have strenuously resisted the Reports that they themselves had commissioned .

If they were interested in a New Structure , they would have done so , but they did not do a blasted thing .
