Gros Islet, ST. LUCIA – The Board of Directors of the West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) today approved a bowling review committee to look closely at the players who have been reported and/or suspended for illegal bowling actions in international games.

The committee will review, assess and make the relevant recommendations of all the international players before they are allowed to bowl in domestic competitions. The announcement, was made by President, Dave Cameron at the end of the two-day meeting held in St. Lucia (Saturday and Sunday), December 12 & 13

About time.
Our bowlers are just taken apart by anyone who does not like them and our Board just shrugs.
Why not get a legal angle into it also?
Threaten to sue both BCCI and ICC.
Maybe we can cancel out that 42 mil.

Ah wud hope dat dey looking at dem from de U15 level and not waitng till dey reach international level and get reported

A step in the right direction , we need to test our suspicious bowlers before they play regionally and internationally . So when the big three says they are chucking we can validate, dismiss or correct at home .

Why wait till dey get reported at international level?

That looks like a fig leaf if there ever was one. A better move would be to examine and reform the coaching procedures to ensure that the young players do not develop suspect actions in the first place. people do not get called if their action is pure. It may be argued that suspect actions in players from other places do not get called, but that is beside the point. We do not want to develop marginal players we want cricketers who are above reproach and who can be good models to other aspiring players. As good as Narine was at what he did, I could never in good conscience point to him and say to a young bowler "do it like him".
