HEADLINE: Of Honourable Men, the President and West Indies Cricket

CaribbeanCricket.com May 10, 2016, 6:07:35 AM

The immortal Bard gives us pause in our quest to destroy leaders, perfectly imperfect human beings. He gives us pause at the charges and charging of the “honourable men”, who, at daggers drawn, literally, rid the world of an “ambitious” tyrant run amok. Yet this ambitious tyrant reconsidered without the heat of daggering and honour-blinded personages can be seen to have the citizens of Rome close at heart with the tributes and ransoms of conquest. This ambitious tyrant cried with the poor and in his last will and testament left something for each citizen. Is there a message here as many bay for blood and call for the demise of the West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) and its current President?

My affiliations are laid bare, for I, like Mark Antony, call him friend, brother, Fortis. Yet I, too, have had my differences with the President on cricketing matters. So I speak as one who knows him and that he is human, all too human. So I am pained sorely by the grievous charges, especially the ad hominin attacks, that have rained down in recent times. The charges have come thick and fast from all over the region and without – “he is destroying West Indies Cricket”, “he thinks he’s invincible”, “he is disrespectful”, “he is the most disparaged President by the public and in the press”. The President was taken to task for the team's abandonment of the tour of India in 2014 over a payment issue with the West Indies Players Association (WIPA). Such were the actions of honourable men, who chose to bring West Indies Cricket into disrepute and continue to do so time and time again.

Well done, well done........ with As You Like It, Macbeth and Julius Caesar featuring prominently, a quote each from Twelfth Night, Othello, The Tempest and Richard III would have rounded it out nicely.

But, seriously, this is the best piece of writing to have appeared on this forum for years.

You not easy.

"Grammarly" auto corrects "ad hominem" to "ad hominin" which as you pointed out is incorrect.

Word recognizes the correct spelling.

POINT May 10, 2016, 4:31:49 PM

Let me say this , I have been a Critic
of the WICBC SINCE 2003 , which is long before Emperor Cameron ascended to the
WICBC's Throne . As long as the people
in the WICBC , refuse to do what must be done I will be a Critic .

So I would like answers to the following questions from the Author of
this Article.

1.Did Cameron make an attempt to meet
with the Players in an attempt to salvage the Tour to India ??

2. Did the Regional Governments spend Taxpayers money to assist the WICBC
in hosting the 2007 Cricket World Cup that was held in the Region ???

3. What exactly is so odious of the various Reports that the WICBC itself
commissioned , and then discarded ???

4. Is it true that the current Structure of the WICBC has its genesis in the 20th Century , to be precise 1927 ????

5. What was the purpose of commissioning these several Reports
when the WICBC had absolutely no intention of implementing the salient
recommendations of these Reports ???

6. Why is it that the WICBC is unable
to capitalize on getting Financial Sponsors due to the fact that in the shortest version of the game , our Players & Teams are the best in the World ???

7. What is the purpose of the WICBC
commissioning the Wehby Report , when
all the other Reports clearly stated
that there must be Structural changes
in the WICBC ???

8. Cameron was in India during the recent ICC Tournaments . What prevented him from meeting with the
Players ???

9. Why is it that the WICBC has always had differences with its Players ????

10. Why does Cameron use Intermediaries to address the Players ???

I would like to recommend a book written by Dale Carnegie entitled :

HOW TO WIN FRIENDS & INFLUENCE PEOPLE "

to ALL the Members of the Worst International Cricket Board in the Commonwealth , aka the WICBC , they would hopefully find it very instructive .

mikesiva May 11, 2016, 1:55:00 AM

in quoting Shakespeare so often we need to remember that the Bard was a conservative who always supported the establishment and believed in the divine right of kings no matter how bad a ruler they were i.e. Richard II.
cool
Shakespeare also ridiculed the working class in most of his plays.

The post revived painful memories of my First Latin teacher, first of all she was from Bim with a predilection for folks of a lighter hue.

It all went downhill quickly after that

So to the Lackeys of the Worst International Cricket Board in the Commonwealth , aka the WICBC , I intend
asking these & other Questions until
any of the Lackeys , have the Testicular Fortitude to answer .

I also find it very interesting that is does not take much to make Fools Laugh , That no doubt is due the
shallowness of their Intellect .

What is even worse is the fact that he has an Msc in Hotel Management . I was
asked by one of his Flunkies in this
Forum to check his qualifications , and
out of curiosity I did .

Now I find it difficult to understand
that a Person in Hotel Management , would be so aloof from his Employees .

I am beginning to believe that when
people get on the WICBC , they are
suddenly transformed into Autocratic
Louts . Obviously it is this Attitude why there is no harmony between the
WICBC & the Players .

How much he pay you 10c US a word?

Were the bigger words paid higher?

It's so hard defending a proven shithead.

There is no counter balancing the asinine acts of Dave Cameron as WICB chief, even with 10,000 word articles.

He could have been a billionaire, who gave away all his wealth to foster the education of poor handicapped girls, he is still an arrogant shyte head as WICB chief, who should resign.

That's it. No amount of ammonia can kill that stench.
