Dunno but four quicks are a must. WI for the first time in a while, theoretically have depth in their batting with the way Holder can bat.

Leggies dont do well vs india and St Lucia will be bouncy. Chase and Braffers can do the offspin stuff.

In reply to Commie... yes, time to look to win, if not then you try and draw.

The best form of defence is attack yesterday's performance by Windes batsmen is proof of that . I have no doubts that if they decided to play block cricket ,the Indian bowlers would have bowled them out cheaply.

Didn't help us during fete cricket era. Will flying fish cricket be an improvement?

The two senior middle order batsmen Bravo, Samuels have difficulties playing short lifting deliveries. On a predicted fast and bouncy wicket means failure again for these two batsmen against the Indians quicks. I do not comprehend the logic behind their selection??

A lot of you have been calling for Hope, this is his stats:
Hope avg: 15.54 test / 35 1st class
?????

Again I'm questioning the mind set and vision of the selectors???
Hope, Bravo, Samuels???

It takes one innings to inflate an average.

Stop worrying about the guy average. Hope has always looked comfortable. He is inexperienced because he is inexperienced.

No bajan Warrican???...oh...his dottie born

Bishoo got away there big grin

I'm wondering about that opening spot.

Hope scored all his runs on tour, well, at No. 3 including 118 not-out (AZADTNT take note) against the indians

Just like that Hope gets in the eleven in front of a batsman who has performed better? His name is Johnson by the way, damn you Caribbeanites are insular with homeboyism. rolleyes

Johnson was in the squad first so he should play...but is he an opener...Hope has opened in test cricket...so its a toss-up for me.

Johnson also opened in test cricket and has a healthy average, mindblowing how he was dropped.

Hope should not be opening.

Maybe when Samuels done...

TheTrail Aug 4, 2016, 6:44:33 PM

There is no way Hope should open with Kraigg and Johnson sit on the bench,no way.

Johnson's scores in the four (4) games he played:

66,41,31,39,0,54,44

Average: 39.29

Third test openers:

1: Kraigg
2: Johnson

data insufficient, 39 avg in 4 matches is no indication how this batsman would perform in the future

It seems that either Hope or Leon will be shunted into the opening slot....

I believe both would be more comfortable coming in one down.

We all want change but some of you only seeking home boy change instead of positive change. Why not Johnson if you are continuing with Bravo and or Samuels? You guys keep focusing on Hope when there is no hope!
