October is a special month for Dwayne Bravo to act up. Honestly.

And as he celebrates his 33rd birthday today, the experienced Trinidad & Tobago and West Indies all-rounder should contemplate a couple significant issues, which have occurred in the month I hold dearly.

Just two years ago, Friday, October 17th (my birthdate) to be precise, Bravo was the West Indies One-Day International (ODI) captain, who led a pull-out midway through the tour to India over player-payment issues with the West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) in their revised contracts.

At that time, the WICB issued a release stating it regretted that in his initial communication to the West Indies Players Association (WIPA) President and Chief Executive Officer Wavell Hinds, Bravo “chose to use inflammatory language and issue a threat to cause injury to West Indies cricket”.

Specifically Bravo wrote: “Please note that we are giving you the opportunity to right this wrong before things deteriorate (sic) to such an extent that West Indies cricket to the wider cricket world looks to fall to its knees again.”

Now last Saturday, October 1, Bravo was at it again. Just back home from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) where he represented West Indies in the three-match Twenty20 series against Pakistan, which was swept by Pakistan, he claimed that the team environment was low-keyed and suggested the players and management were lost.

Kieth Holder's attack on Bravo is senseless as we all know that Dwayne Bravo, or what he said is not the reason for our poor showing. They need to learn to put their Bajan pride aside and deal with the issues that are affecting west Indies cricket today. Bravo walking out of an Indian tour is not the current issue. In fact our downfall began when his fellow Bajan Otis Gibson, was made coach and started to take swipes at senior players like Gayle, Sawan, Chanderpaul etc by calling them names, and wanted to change techniques that have made them successful for many years. Gibson forced Fedel and Sawan out and that was just the beginning of our fallout.

Kieth Holder needs to tell us what part Dwayne Bravo played in the sudden sacking of Sammy, Ramdin, and coach Simmons. These untimely sackings took place less than two months after his fellow Bajan boy Courtney Brown, was made chairman of selectors. In fact it is quite clear that we do not have a West Indies team, as it very well looks like a Barbados team with Joel Garner-manager, Roderick Estwick-coach, Jason Holder-test/ODI captain, Kraig Brathwaite-test/ODI vice captain, Carlos Brathwaite-T20captain, and half the team are ALL from Barbados, and are ALL failing in their role. Take captain Holder for example. After 17 tests he has only taken 22 wickets as one of the main bowlers. Compare his stats with that of Shane Shillingford, who took 70 wickets in his 16 test. No wonder west Indies can hardly bowl out teams, let alone win. That's what Keith Holder should address if he really cares about windies criecket

He is an establishment guy from the old colonial cloth. Nobody needs to re4ad or listen to Keith Holder. Anyone in BARBADOS who keeps on referring to " Alma Mater " is a total Clown. On his Facebook page Leslie Lett rips Keith Holder.

Keith supports WICB to a fault . His comments incense me.

i agreed with you, we were winning. only now with the bajans in charge that the wi have slipped from the No3 to no8 and that Shilli is the best spinner since Lance.
