From the high of their opening victory over Sri Lanka, West Indies tied against Zimbabwe and then suffered two narrow defeats, by one and five runs, to slip out of contention for the tri-series final, and will leave Zimbabwe with just one win from four matches. Where did it all go wrong?

"It's a difficult question," West Indies captain Jason Holder said after his team's tour-ending defeat to Zimbabwe in Bulawayo. "Luck wasn't really in our favour in some instances but, out of the things that we could control, I didn't think that we fielded well throughout the entire tournament, consistently.

"It's very disappointing. It's tough to be in this position, after starting the tour so well. At the beginning of the tour we felt we could have won the tournament, and to be in this position right now, we're absolutely gutted. It's a situation where we really need to look at ourselves in the mirror and see where we fell short, moving forward into the new year, and see how we can come together again and perform better.

Some of the reasons why they lost was because of the baffling decisions made by Holder, he should be reviewing his tactics and plan to do better in the future.

It's not a difficult question, Mr Holder. The answer is simple: These guys who make up your team are dodo heads. They have very little thinking and analytic skills. They just go by instinct. No matter what you do with these guy, the West Indies team will never get better. They simply lack the prerequisite - the ability to figure out where things are, what is needed and how to go about it in a methodical way.
It's incredible that after all these years have not learnt from the other international cricket teams. And the fact that they are incapable of learning means they will never get better.
The embarrassing thing is that this is only unique to the West Indies team. It just make us look inferior. It's really embarrassing!

Doing this may be helpful to some of them , but I don't believe all of them will do that , certainly not Cameron , sad to say , HE is absolutely beyond Redemption .

Holder must stop blaming others and take responsibility for the manner Barbados played their last three games which his team lost in the last over of everyone of them, and captain Holder was in the wicket for the last two. The last game was bad bowling by Holder and Brathwaite, and when batting in the last over Holder and Carter saw the weather was getting very gloomy and they needed to push on instead of batting as though they were trying to draw a test. What about management did they not see the weather was getting really dark and they needed to keep eyes on the run rate, since it was clear that Zimbabwe was not going to get their overs in? It's the Barbados factor with their 7 players, manager, coach, chief selector, captain , and vice captain. Trinidad and Jamaica in particular might as well get their own team because the way things shaping it is clear that it is an all Bados team they want. Hell with West Indies

Holder should resign....no shame in that.....world class WI players have done it before....and Holder is not world class....far way from that

Holder has demonstrated no leadership ability..........whatsoever.........NONE

The make up of the final eleven was always wrong. For one, Benn should never be allowed on any WI team.
Kraigg Brathwaite, although he serves as an anchor, bats too slowly. If he insists on playing that role the other batsman should be aware of that and bat accordingly.
There were too many dot balls in these innings.
West Indies have no business letting Zimbabwe beat them let alone tie the first game that they played. This is a young team but the balance is all wrong.
