You will have to go back to the Nixon era for precedence on this.

Once he’s impeached and the evidence is overwhelming, before the Senate process begins, the bugger will rresign.
As for Pence’s fate, any “ascension” into the office of the presidency will depend upon whether Mueller implicates him in any of the crimes. The hands of goody two shoes Pence are not that clean.
