White man shows again who is in charge
In reply to birdseye
Why is this about Color?
More about gender
By the way Ump is Hispanic
Your color bias exposed

History?
Don't you think we have come a long way?
Blaming history for your shortcomings and lack of effort/opprtunities is not rite.
Guess u haven't learnt anything from history
In reply to jaip
Being Hispanic is not a race.
Caucasians can be Hispanic.
Just saying
In reply to jaip
So then I expect some of you "Indo Guyanese" to stop complaining about Burnham and Afro Guyanese as the reason for Guyana problems
It is my understanding that this same
Umpire did the same thing to Venus some years ago .
I have seen Jimmy Connors ; John McEnroe and others berate Umpires , break Tennis Rackets , and did not have a game taken away from them .
This is where like it or not Sexism
comes into the Picture . I also saw
that Billy Jean King implied that it
was Sexism .
In reply to Emir
Not a man move!
In reply to Emir
I agree-TOTALLY
In reply to jaip
And you are assuming i am Indo- Guyanese?
In reply to Chrissy
Shot Malaise Burnham.
Serena is the Lara of Tennis.
Should I repost your "Wismar" leadership qualities?
In reply to Emir
IAM GUYANESE-FULL STOP
You guys need to refrain from this race baiting shit
thought that died with Jagan
Forget the rules and Serena shameful unprofessional behaviour, instead just focus on the "white man"
In reply to problemjay
Serena is a whiny brat ALL the time. She seemed so nice and helpful and kind...as long as she was getting her way or being admired. As soon as attention veered from her she'd become a total nut job.
In reply to Dan_De_Lyan
When you are the greatest of all time- should be allowed some leeway(my opinion)
Ramos was within his rights. Serena was understandably upset by the coaching warning but she went on too long and escalated the incident. Had she said her piece and then settled back down all would be well.
Having said that tennis needs to move away from that quaint to the modern sport.
Also once the match was over Serena displayed tremendous maturity and class.
In reply to jaip
Nonsense you can't call the umpire a thief and not be penalised

Lots of blacks voted fro him.
Just saying.

JACKASS!
Burnham was what he was. I don't need to go into details again about his blatant discrimination, racism and looting of the wealth, placing all his family and people in positions they were not qualified for, just to eat out de money and screw up anything they touched.
Well, some are delusional or blind or just dishonest to say nothing like that happened.
Indo Guyanese blaming Burnham?
Nah man, irregardless, we find a way to survive and even prosper rather than just sit and cry.
Big difference.
Does not detract from what he did.
Serena says she is standing up for women. It is now a womens right issue.
Her behavior as a professional athlete iwas regrettably poor. And good luck to anyone who tattempts to rationalize irrational behavior. Furthermore, the crowd really did a job on the young, new US Open champion. Sad really.
Go figure!

Agree!
The topic has now evolved to Serena's behaviour being defended in the context of slavery
The mental slavery inferior complex is telling
In reply to FuzzyWuzzy
She hijacked the moment from the winner.....no class there

I don't watch tennis or CNN or Fox except in election time when I flip the channels as I get disgusted at the propaganda presented by both sides in the guise of journalism.
The headline caught my attention and it was disappointing.
White man shows again who is in charge
Did a referee or umpire make a bad call?
Did she get fined or disciplined for behavior?
Happens (penalties, fines) in all sports by many different races acting as umpires.
The white man part was very disappointing.
If we look for color, we will see it in everything we encounter in life.
I respect Birdsey a lot. I think recently he also mentioned seeing color in something else.
Difficult times, but we shouldn't be blowing the color trumpet just like that.
When Serena called the umpire 'a thief' he was forced to act in order to maintain some credibility, Serena crossed many lines and it had very little to do about race or gender. Serena has a history of sometimes verbally abusing umpires and lines officials and the reputation finally caught up with her.

Free OJ is ok!
Rodney king riot is ok?
Fairplay knows no bias.
Serena was uncouth & boorish. That's all. Never mind that she tick & solid!
Dis ting bothering me:
It would be like if one of an Indian race was drunk and disorderly (not trying to stereotype) and was arrested by a black police and fined by a black or Amerindian magistrate.
I don't hear people blaming one race or the other for for that.
Serena was fined for disorderly conduct.
Nothing to do with race, from my perspective, and no big ting compared to the monster that was Burnham.
Calling an ant a dinosaur.
I fired a shot and the old #KYS took flight with her broom.....
In reply to BeatDball
Isn't that what you like and applaud?
In reply to JahJah
That is ok in the back alleys ..
Or riding a moped.
Both are fun but you dont want tour friends to catch you riding
In reply to goofballs
Just ignore that Imam, he loves to attack Indians anywhere.
He is a PNM till I die supporter in T&T, hope you understand.
Serena a great player, but she overreacted on the court,
then at the presentation the boorish Americans showed their
uncouth behavior, by booooing the winner.
In reply to Dan_De_Lyan
I was surprised by her comment, expected better.
In reply to sgtdjones
She is notorious for that language.
She would be fired by any bona fide university for comments like that..UWI is cowboy school...not sure if it is on the world university body list.
Wont be surprised if she is from Wismar
In reply to Dan_De_Lyan
Sorry, but I am speaking to BeatDBall for a specific reason. Your answer is noted, but I am not sure what I can do with it since I am can't remember you stance on another subject/person.
In reply to JahJah
Ok....for the record... i have a stance
In reply to Dan_De_Lyan
Check out the PM's in the Caribbean, majority
Grads of UWI
No leadership vision, as they lead islands to beyond 3rd world status.
In reply to birdseye
Yep. Can you believe the audacity to beat up on the Indians?
In reply to jaip
you mean Burnham...
In reply to birdseye
Women have been held to a different standard.
Didn't a white female player got penalized just for changing her shirt while men paraded shirtless all the time?
Its about sexism and not race! Even Serena said so...
