He is not good enough to be a Bowling allrounder. Need him to bat in the top 6. Should be playing the role Stokes plays for England.

Jason Holder is unbalancing this team.
In reply to voiceofreason
Is Jason not our highest rated test bowler? Is he not one of the top ten rated test bowlers?
In reply to Baje
Some comments don't need reply. He just trying to find a place fuh Cornwall so give he a chance
In reply to Baje
You should know that was coming once Jimbo did not play
In reply to voiceofreason
Isnt he the ICC #1 rated all rounder in test cricket?
Jaason Holder is the NUMBER 1 TEST ALLROUNDER according to the ICC
Our top three bowlers in the Test Arena since 2017 have been Holder, Gabriel and Roach
The side needs balance one side too light
In reply to Baje
Maybe so ... That is just to one good year but everybody knows Jason Holder is no STRIKE Bowler. # 1 Allrounder based on a dearth of allrounders in Test cricket.
If West Indies is to progress they need strike bowlers...Once Roach and Gabriel rest...Them Man does fall sleep pon Holder and Cummins. Bat in six like Stokes and put in a strike bowler!
Ben Stokes:
Test Bat ave 34.75
Test bowl Ave 32.43
Test s/r 54.75
Jason Holder:
33.64 Bat Ave
Test bowl Ave 27.69
S/r 63.0
His bowl average is pretty good because of his meagre economy of 2.60 but his s/r but he has to bowl 10 overs to get 1 wicket? Is that acceptable as a first change bowler?
In reply to voiceofreason
This coming from de man that say Rawle gine mek dem bawl.
In reply to voiceofreason
Sr 60 and below is good for 1st change
In reply to doosra
Could it not be better. If Stokes is 2nd change and he has a s/r of 55? We trying to get to the next level here Bro.
In reply to voiceofreason
Even at 7 and we still can play the extra strike bowler. We choose to groom Chase.
In reply to voiceofreason
How was the 'atmosphere' at the ground today? Good vibes?
I'm anxious to get the low-down from an actual attendee.
In reply to voiceofreason
Idiotic post... whats his bowling stats for last 18months? If you have nothing intelligent to say don't say anything.
If Devon Smith were a bowler VOR would say he would balance the side
Man arguing against facts, VOR your reasoning has let you down
In reply to voiceofreason
He is the #1 test all rounder in world cricket. Please spare me.
Please post his test stats in the Caribbean for 2019.
I think half of allyuh buss yuh heads.
In reply to mittheimp
Idiotic is you fools who are unable to think outside the box.'
Holder would better serve the team batting at # 6 as a batting allrounder. I compared his stats to Stokes who plays asa a batting allrounder and they are pretty much on par.
Holder's record is great this past 18 months but it has been helped by a favorable home schedule plyaying th elike sof Bangladesh and a rebuilding SRI Lanka Link Text
Bowling away 36.7 4 / s/R 81. Batting away 23.00.

How many class allrounders are there in Test cricket today?
Is wuh alyuh have against WI cappo? Shoite man...Runs seh he can't set a field; this one seh this; this one seh that. The blooming chap can't get a facting break! The problem is that WI batsmen have to cement themselves at the crease & make Runs! WI bowlers are doing a fine job. Full stop.

Yet you had no problem with the clapping allrounder, Sammy, being at the helm, unchallenged, for 4 straight years, while you rationalized this travesty by claiming "there [is] no one else!"
Why don't you use the same yardstick to judge others that you use to judge players from your favoured territory?
You are shameless joker who is just interested in pushing your homeboys!
At least Jason Holder is able to make the team on merit and we no longer are subjected to the embarrassing spectacle of our captain being a laughingstock throughout the cricketing world!!!
YOUR AGENDA IS VERY TRANSPARENT !!
In reply to voiceofreason
maybe....but he can make the side as a batsman....he made a test double ton against England last year
In reply to voiceofreason
Courtney Walsh over a career was 58
60 is not bad dude
In reply to jacksprat
Just laugh bro - this place is a riot
In reply to voiceofreason
You can't be for real. He is arguably the best all rounder in the world right now.
Has picked up wickets at will, and scored heaps and heaps of runs.
In reply to Narper
BRO BRO BRO
That double ton was THIS YEAR!!!!!
In reply to Dukes
Yeah that was in January.
In reply to voiceofreason
As usual you reek of insularity. Holder is capable of batting at 6. Sammy was never capable of batting above 8 and was just a clapper. Never heard you say anything then. You know that if Cornwall was picked you would have kept your mouth shut. You are as transparent as a scandal bag.
My point for those who are missing it is that Jason Holder would be better serve this team playing as a batting allrounder.
In reply to Dukes
The same England who getting dem arse cut in dem backyard?
In reply to JamMack
I never apologize for my insularity! It is justified the nonsense we have had to put up with all these years. Which continues today!
Now in my opinion...Holder would better serve this team batting at 6. He has a 30 plus average and so does all of our top order batsmen except for Bravo whose average will probably end up there soon.
In reply to voiceofreason
I've been preaching for Holder to bat at 6 for some time now, but like you I get a beat down when I state my opinion. So I agree he should bat at 6.
In reply to natty_forever
Yes, I would prefer to see Holder bat at seven.
It's time Holder took up the batting all rounder slot.
In reply to mikesiva
Not 7.. It has to be 6.
I MORE concerned about Cummins. This is the first time I ever backed him and I was not a Cummins fan.
Cummins continues to disappoint....so much contenders for his play and he cant take a wicket....he seems useless
In reply to Dukes
Tell VOR that
In reply to JamMack
So how does this reek of insularity...
Other posters on this thread have inadvertently enforced this point by highlighting the double hundred.
In reply to Narper
You don't see that you all reinforcing my point!!!
If he is capable of a double hundred at 7/8 then why not bat him at 6 and play the extra Bowler????
Geez!
In reply to Discourse
I don't apologize for my insularity. Who don't like it loss...But these fellas head harden to rass!
Jason is not the problem. Miguel Cummins is.
Jason Holder is the best player in the team
In reply to voiceofreason
Moving Captain Holder up the order could adversely affect his batting ala Joe Root.
In reply to NineMiles
SO dat is di Root of di problem?

In reply to voiceofreason
don't listen to them Voicy. You are right on the money. Imagine Holder is the #1 test allrounder in the world, and he batting at number 8. He should be batting at 6. Holder push himself down the order to accommodate his friends. If they wanted a truly balanced side, He would bat at 6, the keeper bat at 7, followed by the three pacers and a spinner and call it a day.
In reply to Chrissy
Thought you knew.... Not every Cappo can move at will from 3 to 4 and vice versa like the Greatest.
In reply to aliaskid13
Maybe to keep his average intact. Hmm NO? Just not making sense. We can't even muster 200 and a Batsman who not to long ago scored 200 is batting at 8?
A barely catch it
before it went to archive
twas literally the last one on the last page
haha
come heen vor
In reply to voiceofreason
Serously, move away from your Tv or watch your pasrtime sport baseball.
Again i reiterate he should be batting in the top 6! The weak side of this team is its BATTING!
In reply to voiceofreason
I hard understanding the game after 25 and having the rum shop as the only reference .
In reply to tc1
This coming from a Man who can make an assessment of a spinner after one innings.
