For all the experts here who says that Bumrah pelts, please note the following:

He was never called for pelting

None of the commentators , at least what I have heard, ever said that he pelts.

Only WI know-alls are saying that he is pelting.

Therefore it must be that all the experts are wrong, and the brilliant minds here are spot on with their call.

Yeah, allyuh talk nah!

Real-cricket Aug 26, 2019, 10:45:33 PM

In the second innings of this Test, Bumrah unleashed the absolute fury of the outswinger. The numbers were staggering. To right-hand batsmen, according to broadcasters Sony, Bumrah bowled seven outswingers every ten balls. The results were lethal. Shai Hope and Jason Holder were forced to play the angle and defend their middle stump before the ball swung away late to hit their off stumps. He also bowled the left-hand batsmen John Campbell and Darren Bravo through the gate with late swing. Kraigg Brathwaite was the only one who played an apparently poor shot, defending an outswinger wide enough to be left alone, but then again it is the Bumrah angle that makes you commit to playing the ball.

the pelter unleashed

Real-cricket Aug 26, 2019, 11:17:56 PM

Does he change is action to bowl the outswnger? Look at 0.53 in the video.

hmmm so he has perfected it now eh...

interesting?

he bowls it from the back of the hand?

hmmm......

There's a giveaway, in hindsight, with regard to which way the ball is going. For outswingers, his bowling arm finishes across his torso, and for inswingers it finishes in the region of his right hip.

listen i have defended Bumrush before. but seeing that video it is clear to see flexion in his elbow when bowling the leg cutter

Larr Pullo Aug 27, 2019, 8:02:10 AM

In reply to sudden

He flexes both his elbow and wrist, so it's hard to pick what the ball will do. I'm sure if he was playing for the WI, Pak, or even SA they would have already pulled him in to examine his action.

runout Aug 27, 2019, 9:30:16 AM

In reply to sudden

Bro. With all honesty, I am flabbergasted at the evidence you provided. The WI should lodge a formal complaint. The umpires who presided over this should be fined. The match referee barred from international cricket. And a class act ion lawsuit should be lodged against ICC in collaboration with BCCI for promoting cheating .

Cheers!

Khaga Aug 27, 2019, 9:30:58 AM

4- Number of five-wicket hauls for Jasprit Bumrah in Tests. All have come in four different tours so far - South Africa, England, Australia, and now the West Indies. He is the first India bowler, and in fact the first from Asia, to take a five-wicket haul in each of those four countries. He has remarkably achieved the feat in just his first set of tours.

No Akram,Imran,Waqar..

Real-cricket Aug 27, 2019, 9:47:57 AM

He unleashed the outswinger here in the Caribbean.I ask again, what change is there in his action to bowl such a ball? Khagapul, runs and company please explain.

In all those countries where he took those wickets he hardly bowled the outswinger. Now he has perfected it with the same action?
7 out of 10 balls were outswingers on average

jnaveen Aug 27, 2019, 9:51:46 AM

Both Ambrose and Roberts have certified him. big grin

In reply to Real-cricket

Seam position? They even showed that. With same action he was able to do both. Besides he was playing with Kookaburra mostly. With Duke you are likely to get more swing.

jnaveen Aug 27, 2019, 9:57:07 AM

If that is pelting pretty much every fast bowler ever played should be reported for pelting lol.

Khaga Aug 27, 2019, 9:57:36 AM

In reply to jnaveen

Bro,you have time..

Real-cricket Aug 27, 2019, 9:59:30 AM

In reply to jnaveen

It's the strangest action that I have seen on a cricket field," he said. "I need to study that for a longer time to understand the mechanics of his action. But if he were born here back in our days, we would have had him. A freak was the only element missing in our bowling line-up. In fact, Bumrah is the only variety of bowler we had never produced. Then I don't think even India would produce one like him again."

From your article bro

Andy needs time to study it

runout Aug 27, 2019, 10:13:36 AM

In reply to Real-cricket

Bro, Seems like you possess more expertise than Andy in the element of fast bowling. He needs more time to understand the mechanics of Bumrah's action, but you are a quick study and have reviewed and concluded that Bumrah is pelting. Perhaps you are privy to more information than Andy Roberts.

Say it ain't so!

Yeah, allyuh talk nah!

jnaveen Aug 27, 2019, 10:15:48 AM

In reply to Real-cricket

HE didn't indicate he was chucking. He implied "studying his action to find a similar one in West Indies". I am a big fan of WI fast bowling culture. I seriously root for them to come back with 80s style fast bowling attack. Apart from Roach others have to learn a lot about working the batsman out. Ishant has been around for more than a decade. But he is still not a thinking bowler like Bumrah. Even Zaheer needed a county stint to become a thinking bowler. That is one of the reason why many talented fast bowlers don't reach the heights they set out to achieve. This is the quality of Bumrah that impressed Andy Roberts. If WI find one exactly like Bumrah i will root for them. You had a decent bowler in Archer. For whatever reason he left you guys.

Real-cricket Aug 27, 2019, 10:18:37 AM

In reply to jnaveen

Don't change the topic bro. That article does not vindicate Bumrah. I maintain that his outswinger must be looked at and it could never be with the same action. Look at the video bro

In reply to runout

We know Pelters, lol

jnaveen Aug 27, 2019, 10:26:00 AM

In reply to Real-cricket

There was no complaint in the first place before we talk about vindication. There is absolutely no kink in his action. He has unusual action. Nobody would want to bowl like him. Even if you try it is very difficult to master. John Wright after identifying him told not to change his unusual action. India had one freak fast bowler kamran in the first IPL edition. He was immediately called for chucking and dropped forever. You can't get away easily with suspect action this long without every anyone remotely suggesting he was chucking.

so Bumrush can be certified with no video evidence but when one can see flexion in his pelting elbow from the slow mo in the video in the first post one still has to provide video.

there is flexion. the question is how much?

Pretty sure you saw him play international matches, IPL what not. Suddenly after one innings where he blew away the WI batting line up, everyone "has to" talk about his action lol.
