Regardless of his colour, hes a terrible bat. How the fack he anywhere near this SA team? His first class average shite too.
No different than our very own Devon Smith.

Temba Bavuma...
Let me cut to the chase...
Rightly or wrongly, He is only in the team because of the colour of his skin.
If I was him, that wouldnt sit comfortably with me.
In reply to Banner
What are the options? Who else is he keeping out? 36.80 is a decent average in South African cricket. One innings back and you ready to crucify?
In reply to Banner
He reminds me of you similar style and stature
Frankly he should be skipper Faf is shite how did he get in the team
In reply to ponderiver
Faf is boring shite
There's nobody better they could play right now...
Hes rubbish. Simple.
Big couple of days ahead for temba. Needs to add to that single test century.
He shouldn't be near the side but South Africa are short of options.
I think even if Du Plessis does lose the captaincy he'll be in contention for a place.
I think they should appoint Elgar as captain, once Markram is fit, try him at 3.
Rabada, Ngidi, Nortje & Maharaj is a good bowling attack.
Yet another failure....
In reply to Banner
Not much he could have done about that ball.
In reply to djdrastic
No matter. The dude just isn't good enough. SA's answer to Devon Smith. Infact, Devon better

After 145 fugging FC games as a batsman, 36.80 is a decent average in these days and times? Are you kidding me? Who gave him 45, far less 145 games in FC?
Mate, the first time I saw him bat it was obvious to me that he was crap at the international level. Bavuma is an embarrassment. Without a quota he wouldn't have made it past 20 FC games, IMO>.
Fight other battles - this guy is a losing one.
In reply to Banner
I am curious. Why all this focus on Bavuma. He only just came back into the team. Who are the better batsmen he is keeping out. Or are you just another racist jackass.
In reply to Verstehen
There is some decent batting talent coming through but the lads are still very green at this stage.
Gonna be interesting in the coming years how he will have to battle with Keegan Petersen, Yaseen Vallie and Van Tonder for a place , unless he becomes a specialist captain.

Me? Racist?
So if I criticize a west Indian player, that would make me racist also?
I say it as i see it - the man cant bat.
In reply to Banner
Just asking. Was curious too why you started with the line
I mean he has a much higher test average than say Hetymer. If you were to be critical of Hetmyer would you start with the line "regardless of his colour"?
How about Buttler who has played a closer number of tests to Bavuma, and has a similar test average, would you start with the line "regardless of his colour to critique his batting deficiencies. And I assure you that right now England has a lot more batting talent than South Africa.
So I have got to assume you are just an ignorant race baiting clown. But I could be wrong. Just saying it as i see it.
In reply to Verstehen
Don't worry. I got no doubts about you.
In reply to Logic
Banner is a skunt
the truth is Bavuma should never have been rushed back this quickly
he was told to go away and score in fc after poor intl returns
SA behind their quota ratio
when Philander leaves this could be a bigger problem
In reply to Logic
You rate Bavuma?
The man has a single hundred in 40 tests....
In reply to Banner
Almost Ditto for Buttler. Single hundred in 41 tests. Buttler is a quota pick for shaggy headed blondes? Stop obfuscating and deal with your shameful obsession.
If Bavuma was a WI player he would be a regular member in the WI team, he has one century and thirteen half centuries in 40 Tests, Hope, Samuels, Hetmyer, Ganga, Smith, Phil Simmons and many others had extended Test selections with similar numbers.
In reply to Logic
Did you rate Devon Smith?
Don't think I saw Bagwan before but he did look pretty today.
In reply to Banner
A terrible bat
He looks anything but.
A well played 50* to put SA in control for now.
Actually he's looking real good.
Both of them are batting very well.
It looks like they could knock off this score with ease the way they are batting.
The score is 147 for 1 off of 27 overs.
Thanks for that Mikey, "one day cricket is a young man's game."
A fit young man.
In reply to TheTrail
Yeah, they both are.
In reply to Banner
Why you trying to mislead people here?
Wow, just missed out on a century.
Gone for 98

In reply to Banner
Ah well - out fi 98. You never fail

It seems those two DeCock and Bavuma were not going to respect Chris's bowling today. Two overs ( zero for 19 runs) and Morgan had no choice but to take him out of the attack before things get "ugly" on that pitch.
Chris came back, and in his second spell, he got a little laugh at Bavuma's expense by taking him out on 98. But by then, the damage was already done to England.
I wonder if those WIndian batsmen were watching this game.
This thread give me nuff laugh!
In reply to mikesiva
Good to see you come out and laugh, last I saw you, you were laughing non stop at all the Saffies batsmen but Bavuma during the last Test match.
I talking test cricket. Where he is a proven failure. Just like Devon shite.
1 rass clarrrt ton in 40 tests. Imagine if he a windian!
