I cant believe he said that, is that what he told his players at practice? i don't know - it pisses me off he said that ---There was nothing magnanimous about him saying that right after the match. Is that how he coached the players? Spain won 2:1, its not like England was blown out

As yard folks would se – not everything good fi eat good fi talk…the England players had every reason to feel that their coach believe they could deliver a victory, for him to say that suggest that he was just going thru the coaching routine,--- for why bother, the effort won’t make a difference, Spain is the best and you cant beat them.

I think it was the gracious thing to say. Similar to Djokovic saying Alcaraz was "Hot today" after the Wimbledon final - albeit to poke at the Lady interviewer, who was drooling over Carlos, at the post match ceremony
