USA's lowest Ninimum wages
In reply to Brerzerk
So in the US you have federal government workers making $7.25/hr?
In reply to carl0002
I think that is the mandated wage set by the federal government. States can have anything above that!

Man....You are providing false or grossly inconclusive info.
First, what is your point?
The federal minimum wage for tipped employees is $2.13
Some states either do not have a minimum wage or it is lower than the Federal mandated minimum wage....So states like GA and WỲ measly minimum wage is superceded by the Federal minimum wage....
Therefore, no one in the US makes less than $7.25/hr.
There was a push to increase that.... I never really followed it, but poor Americans could use a pay increase...
Oh I get it....you were one of the people claiming am a dope for my take that the tariffs could bring benefit to Americans.
You saw the post I made regarding Chinese workers and their hourly wage working 14hrs a day and this is your response.
Lol.
First. Americans make overtime above 8 hrs.
I can't think of anyone who works in a factory or manufacturing that makes minimum wage.
If you know of any, please enlighten me.
Finally, if an American worked for minimum wage but worked 14 hrs.....most states capped daily maximum hrs worked to 10.....some 12.
8 hrs at 7.25 is $58/day.
6hrs of overtime a day would result in....an additional $65.25 for a total of $123.20 for your days work.
And I believe there are certain cases where a worker gains even more per hour than time and a half if they eclipse a certain amount of hrs worked for the day where allowed....
So that is already twice what a chinese worker makes.
And usually, very low skilled workers make that.....In Springfield MO, Popeyes paid $9/hr to their fadt food workers....fast food!
High School students and people needing second jobs hold many of those roles.
Ugh another disappearing post....
Funny. Everyone has gone mute, now that it is obvious that China hurting.
Hmmmm.....
Am sure Americans will hurt too and those facing tariffs on their exports are already hurting.
But am still searching for reports on that.
My guess is that while many will hurt, businesses wise, itt won't be as widespread as it is on China.

No! That's the rate last set by Congress regarding the minimum rate employers can pay wotkers
In reply to StumpCam
Stumpy, in Cali jurisdictions such as cities and counties can have their own minimum wage. San Fran's is almost 20 plus all employers have to provide health insurance but the county subsidizes it for small employers. However I think statewide fast food chains have to pay $20hr.
Ayen maaan what a miserable curmudgeon! Always try to find a fight hahaha. Man why yuh comparing US/China earnings $for $ when everyone knows cost of living in China is far cheaper. Of an American waitress working $3+/hr plus medicaid and who may or may not get good tips or a Chinese worker who lives better? Your argument was poverty????
In reply to Ayenmol
thought overtime was after 40 hours?
In reply to Ayenmol
In analyzing the wellbeing of the Chinese worker; remember education, healthcare and often housing are free or pretty near free, so a Chinese does not need a quarter of the American wage to be better off.
'Xactly dem men lure the capitalists then use the earnings to uplift hundreds of millions out of dire poverty through socialist measures
But for the embargo Cuba would've done the same. Only drawback is the totalitarianism. Re overtime it is after an 8hr workday so you can work less than 40hrs/wk and earn OT. There are companies that have mutual agreement for 4×10br shifts weekly with 3 days off and no OT some have 4×12 with 8hrs/wk overtime

So you think Chinese workers are better off?
In reply to Brerzerk
Are you talking about Americans or Chinese workers? What proof do you have of that?
In reply to Ayenmol

$US or $CA
why would they post in US$?
In reply to Ayenmol
I only think of US dollars when I purchase items from Amazon.
$1 Canadian is .72 cents US.
Why would a Canadian making $15 an hour compare his hourly wages to an American's?
One thing I will say, Donald Trump is not a good neighbour.
In reply to camos
You obviously here looking to haraang.
Not my fault that you stuck your foot in your mouth regarding Industry.
Maybe think before you post or quit trying to make others look bad purposely....that will remedy the situation.
In the case of my Canadian vs Us dollars it was just a question to be absolute sure and not just assumption.
Now move along.
In reply to openning
Not sure what that even means...
Are you not in fact comparing?
