@mikesiva
I know it's early time and we can't make a judgement yet,but many are starting to put Morocco,Egypt and Algeria to produce the African Champions.I have to admit that i feel it is quite possible,I will not go with that judgement because the strong,physical ,speedy Africans,not Algerians,Moroccons or Egyptians won't cope with them,somewhere along they will be beaten..It has happened before and can happen again.I am sorry to say that the Congo will win this Afro ChampionshipI said sorry because they will beat Jamaica in the playofff.,Sorry Yard I was hoping to see you in WC 26,there's hope don;t give up I could be wrong,.
@granite
Senegal looks very good!
Jackson
Mane
Sarr
Ndiaye
Koulibaly
Mendy in goal
But yes, Congo are playing at a level well above Jamaica now. Wan Bissaka is a top player.
Burkina Faso 2-1 Equatorial Guinea
Algeria 3-0 Sudan
Ivory Coast 1-0 Mozambique
Cameroon 1-0 Gabon
First round of matches completed.
@mikesiva
I am aware of those players you pointed out,it might be scary for us as fans,but i am sticking to my guns,I feel to have a bet,if i can get 5 to 1 i'll have a go on the Congo.😆
@granite
South Africa a very much improved side from just a few years ago,they had chances to beat Egypt but didn't take them,I would put them high on the list.
I think the decision to not give the penalty was the right one against Egypt.
@granite
Soft penalty IMHO
Egypt 1-0 South Africa
Morocco 1-1 Mali
Angola 1-1 Zimbabwe
Zambia 0-0 Comoros
@mikesiva
I wanted to think it was "soft" but players get punished with those types of hands going to face,at the same time,it is described as dangerous play,but still they really should have won,I look forward to seeing them again.
I am sticking with The Republic of Congo for the African Champs.
@granite
Congo definitely seems to be contenders!
Senegal 1-1 Congo
Nigeria 3-2 Tunisia
Benin 1-0 Botswana
Uganda 1-1 Tanzania
@mikesiva
Nigeria beat Tunisia I thought that was a draw it;s a great win for the Nigerians,this will be a very tight African championship,Tunisia is always a difficult team so well done NigeriaWho's your money on I'll make my mind up tomorrow whether I have a bet on Th Rep of Congo.
@granite
My money is staying in my pocket, especially when it comes to football!
😄
But my favourite is Senegal.
The second round of matches finished yesterday.
Equatorial Guinea 0-1 Sudan
Algeria 1-0 Burkina Faso
Gabon 2-3 Mozambique
Ivory Coast 1-1 Cameroon
South Africa 3-2 Zimbabwe
Angola 0-0 Egypt
Morocco 3-0 Zambia
Mali 0-0 Comoros
@granite
Nigeria 3-1 Uganda
Tunisia 1-1 Tanzania
Senegal 3-0 Benin
Congo 3-0 Botswana
Congo has a great defense, including their CDM. They are a great threat but I think Morocco are still favorites then Senegal.
@nitro
I am in Congo's corner .and If they win and becomes African Champions,wot ah ting If Jamaica beat them in the playoff,certainly, that will put Caribbean football quite a few steps up the ladder.
Is this the Congo we have to beat?
@camos
Yeah, Congo looks worryingly good!
Ivory Coast 3-2 Gabon
Cameroon 2-1 Mozambique
Algeria 3-1 Equatorial Guinea
Burkina Faso 2-0 Mozambique
@mikesiva
Gabon Minister of sport has sacked Aubyamang and has also put the team out of action.I would like to see Trinidad team get the same treatment they deserve,Everyone involved in our football should be sacked including Yorke,they were rubbish ,terrible and unable to improve their game.Yorke openly picked the wrong people,it was like he don't know the TT players,the fact was ,he really didn't know much about TT players.All ah keep hearing is,"we have some good foreign born,bring dem and gi dem ah trtry" better fack off widdat,we nah got crap in farrin.
SACK YORKE.
@granite
The knockout stage starts tomorrow with:

Someone should educate him about what Lumumba stood for.
Quarter finals
Senegal 1-0 Mali
Morocco 2-0 Cameroon
@velo
Nigeria did it for them.
Nigeria 2-0 Algeria
Total domination! How did Nigeria fail to qualify for the World Cup? They're so much better than some of the teams that did, such as South Africa and Algeria.
Egypt 3-2 Ivory Coast
@mikesiva
Nigeria's failure to qualify for yet another world cup is down to the poor management by their federation. Just like the Jamaica Football Federation.
Leadership matters.
Looking forward to what should be some tough semis today. Salah-Mane clash, round 4.
VIX on the way to tell us about the virtues of Algeria.
This is one pretty stadium
Senegalese are through to the finals sadio mane seens to have been around foever i thought he was older
@Halliwell
I really like the Moroccan stadiums.
Semis
Senegal 1-0 Egypt
Morocco 0-0 (4-2 penalties) Nigeria
Senegal v Morocco
african teams struggle at tbe worldcups they lack indivisual brillance skill and creativity to create goal scoring opportunities.despite a lot of them playing in europe
@velo
Third place playoff
Bronze medal match
Nigeria 0-0 (4-2 penalties) Egypt
Wow
wow
wow
Congrats to senegal very entertaining second half despite all that foolishness around the penalty.
upset Morocco lost but it was a great game and proof that pressure can affect even the best of us. the behavioor ofd the Moroccans in the stadium has been nothing short of impeccable. the total opposite of what we saw when England lost the euro finals just under four years ago. Another excellent edition of a totally underappreciated, underestimated and disrespected tournament. Real fans, not racists and wagonists understand Afcon is a tournament of the highest quality
Uno figet last night ... Grenada 0 vs Jamaica 1. A goal scored in the 81st min.
@Jumpstart
Pffft, it's always good when those northerners get the slave jokes and taunts shaved back down their throats.
@velo
african teams struggle at tbe worldcups they lack indivisual brillance skill and creativity to create goal scoring opportunities.despite a lot of them playing in europe
A glaring reminder that Bajans spend 95% of their sporting viewing time watching cricket.
🙄
Read this Moroccan ‘impartial’ view of the goings on
i laff so hard
@JahJah
You clearly have not watched a lot of wc football in the last 20 years even the ivory coast team had problems scoring with drogba in it
