It is hard when you go through the stress of writing or replying, and you're logged out before completing. When it is a reply, it just disappears altogether.

Not that bad for me. The biggest issue for me is there don’t appear to be a way to link an article on the web unless you know a bit of code. It was much simpler on the previous site.

Regarding staying connected, make sure after you enter your user name and password and before you actually click or tap on log in / sign in, make sure you click the box next to “keep me logged in”. THEN click or tap on log in / Sign in.

You need to highlight some text,

click on the link icon,

paste link then save. that's it.

I can't say how it was in the past, but it presently doesn't appear that this Arawak fellow has any great interest in the site. As the average age of the regular posters must be in the 70s, at least, I cannot wholly blame him. In 10-15 years, who will be left? What motivated the latest 'upgrade' is anyone's guess.

Unless you’ve been admitted into the secret handshake society (membership pending, apparently), don’t hold your breath waiting for a reply from the administrator.

I flagged these issues a month ago. At this point, I’m not even waiting anymore; I’ve just unpacked my bags and moved in with the problem, since no response ever showed up, classified as a low-value poster.

Some of the valued posters have moved on after the latest upgrade, it seems.

Software folks tend to live in a binary universe: everything is either 0, 1, or “works on my machine.” They can be moody and… let’s call it “selectively communicative.”

I work with a few, so yes, I speak from experience.

And, as the rules politely remind us, the shopkeeper’s notation is final. Always. Even when it makes absolutely no sense to anyone outside the inner circle.
