Here comes Deighton Butler. Those who have been calling for X Man to play will get their wish. At least this weekend anyway.

Flickcan Jan 7, 2005, 11:47:50 AM

Would the replacement be coming from the Original 25? Grandmama,Butler,or Joseph

Narper Jan 7, 2005, 11:49:54 AM

Colly done send message he fit Powell is the man....we need his fielding and late hitting

Gupta Jan 7, 2005, 11:54:33 AM

How much money will Ryan Hinds get since he is being sent home? Are players paid because they are selected in the tour party or are they paid only when the play in a match? Does the 12th man get the same salary as if he played? Hey folks ...I'm just curious on the deal the WICB and WIPA worked out.

defeyeant Jan 7, 2005, 11:59:09 AM

raphalst1 Jan 7, 2005, 12:00:04 PM

Well deh wasn't exercised ans stretched well under Logie. Now comes KING de bif farin coach and he side kick and deh still getting injured. NO amount a rum I drink today can't sweet like this rass. WE Physiuo was a joker and de former coach an idiot. Now ah wonder what time a day it is.

ghipper Jan 7, 2005, 12:05:13 PM

In reply to SamlordPirate: SLP... now be careful!!!....

garyg Jan 7, 2005, 12:49:19 PM

The trioe of Sherwin Ganga, Pow or washington should have a shot. The bowling was woeful in the last match.

Nemesis Jan 7, 2005, 12:55:50 PM

Garyg you talk about bowling and no mention Collymore??? The choice has to be between Collymore and Powell. Its either we add Powell and his fastscoring and fielding attributes or we go with Collymore for his overall bowling prowess.

buds Jan 7, 2005, 12:58:43 PM

Should be Powell or Collypoor.

Rastaman Jan 7, 2005, 1:00:30 PM

Rhatid, dem seh bad luck worse than obeah and it look like it's true. Or Fan went about and found the baddest guzzum woman bout di place??? Well, if Pow Pow get called (and he should have been there in the first place) it would be a cause to wonder. There is no way suspicion won't cast at Fan, despite his expressed preference to have Pow Pow playing Carib at this time. Maybe it was just talk as him know him got an ace up his sleaves: the baddest guzzum woman deh bout!!!!!!!!!!!

SamlordPirate Jan 7, 2005, 1:00:39 PM

In reply to ghipper: ah birdie whisper that Dwayne Smith buzzing too carefuler dan dat 8O :D ah think somebody call it VETO power

Maispwi Jan 7, 2005, 1:03:36 PM

Could it be that Ryan Hinds was injured all along and they expected it to heal. Remember he hardly bat in the two trial games.

carib Jan 7, 2005, 1:06:09 PM

In reply to Nemesis: In terms of skill set, Powell or Shanga matches up best. I bet Powell. I actually would prefer that Shanga stays and get a full FC season under his belt. Frankly, I've given up on Powell to do anything more than hit a few quick 20s and make the occassional good fielding play. After 100 ODIs, that's what he'll do! Shanga, though , has potential , and a functioning brain, so let him stay his ass in TT and get in some FC experience. I wonder who in TT will get Powells spot? Mahabir?Fat boy Kanhai?

carib Jan 7, 2005, 1:08:51 PM

In reply to Maispwi: No. I think King is pretty serious about fitness. I doubt he would take any player who was unfit.

Bigdog2 Jan 7, 2005, 1:55:28 PM

In reply to carib: Hinds is not the same player you saw last season. I was standing next to him Xmas week and his weight is down to about 175 to 185. That tells me he has being working. Even a guy like Martin Nurse is carrying a lot less weight

carib Jan 7, 2005, 2:07:19 PM

In reply to Bigdog2: well, I'm glad he's put in the work! I hope he doesn't lose heart! He'll get another shot! Glad Nurse is laying of the KFC!! Chrissy was calling him Martin Burst last year. I hope he continues to work hard! The kid has potential! Now if he cxould just grow a brain and swipe at every ball, hell be good to go!

Bigdog2 Jan 7, 2005, 2:15:48 PM

In reply to carib: I predicted he will be the most dominate player in this carib cup. He has scored runs at every level prolifically and now he is in a comfort zone at carib cup level, he will be brutal.

Wally-1 Jan 7, 2005, 2:46:42 PM

In reply to rikiniki:

dat scunt should not have been ther in the first place.
i agree full 100....but i dont wish injury on anyone.

hubert Jan 7, 2005, 2:53:30 PM

Tough luck,Ryan. Good luck 'nine lives' Pow pow

rkradam Jan 7, 2005, 2:55:19 PM

This is the same Hinds who was supposed to replace Chanderpaul .... Why send Sherwin or Narsingh..Do you want to undo what we are trying to do? Play Marshall...Use Powell until Hinds get well...for the future.

TheHorseMan Jan 7, 2005, 3:04:50 PM

Steuuupppsssssssss Nothin but the coach realize dat he mek ah bad mistake in teking Hinds ahead of sherwin or powell good ridance to that scunt called rhinds yuh think ah did figet when hinds dis purposely misfield in the deep off of powells bowling? God does not sleep, and the fackting sodomite will neva prospa!! SELAH!!

tosh Jan 7, 2005, 5:12:37 PM

Wait until Grandmama bust JA arse tomorrow, allyuh will see who should have been in Australia now. But really why was R. Hinds selected anyway. Now allyuh see Jah don't like ugly.

Mikeinflorida Jan 8, 2005, 4:55:39 AM

Always thought Powell should have been selected (maybe over a pacer - Dillon??), but would it not have been better to send the true allrounder Omari Banks, especially as we lack an authentic spinner?
