HEADLINE: Zorol Barthley Quits WICB
I wonder where he got the money to start that business?
In reply to terminator
I was about to ask that question too. I guess he was well paid
In reply to thefan
alot of guys helped themselves, I aint saying he, but its known, is not like the WICB is accountable.
In reply to terminator
Was this guy a money man before he joined the WICB?
In reply to thefan
these fellas? steups. Alot of them gone never to be heard of again.
In reply to terminator
Without any oversight accountability measures some fellas in the WICB, not saying him, can either cherry pick or engage in influence peddling at the expense of WI cricket.
In reply to thefan
exactly.
yuh think them going to allow an auditor anywhere near factory road? dont think so
Arranging the chairs on the Deck of the Pirates ship aint going to preventit from hiiting the iceberg .
As I have stated constantly on this MB , TO SALVAGE CRICKET IN THE REGION THERE MUST BE A COMPLETE RESTRUCTURING OF THE ENTITY GOVERNING CRICKET IN THE REGION .
For openers it cannot be called the WICB . That name is Synonymous with Stupidity , Incompetence etc.
The reputation of the Pirates is such that no arranging or rearranging can salvage this ship , regardless of who leaves or who stays .
NOTHING LESS THAN A COMPLETE RESTRUCTURING WILL WORK . It is my opinion that buisnesses and corporations in the Region have simply turned their backs on the Pirates because they see an organization that is grossly incompetent . Hence the lack of support from the buisness Community .
As I have often stated , the WICB would be out of buisness a very long time ago , if its creditors were real hard nosed people . I suspect however that most of the 108 million that they are getting over 4 years is already nearly gone .
I have also stated that an inventory of the Personnel at Factory Road needs to be undertaken .
I will therefore be not surprised if more people leave . But that cannot right or save the Pirates ship .
What WE need is an Organization that is Totally Transparent , Totally Accountable , with persons who genuinely want to improve Cricket in the Region .
Obviously the Regional Boards will have also to be transformed . The Presidents of these Boards who also comprise the WICB are a large part of the problem . Although in fairness the election of Deryck Murray to the Presidency of the T & T Board is a breath of fresh air .
Regards .... . POINT .

Now I don't know Barthley from a can of paint, but you are really a slanderous skunt to be just throwing out innuendo and thing like that about the man with absolutely no knowledge of his situation.
Well if allyuh knew anything, you would know Zorol didn't grow up any pauper
In reply to Rovdawg These guys have no shame. They just think everyone is like them hand always in the till.
What do they say? it take a thief to catch a thief? Now we know the true character of the ones who are quick to slander.
he was involved in family businesses before joining WICB.
Shame that people would suggest impropriety without knowing anything. That's really uncalled for people.
In reply to terminator
Zoral's family has their own business. Indeed since his father's death he has more work than he needs. Zoral is a very decent man.
In reply to terminator
tsk tsk........
The slander on the site is really quite incredible. Zoral comes from a successful business family and has teamed up with a good friend and entrepreneur in his new venture. He is a good and decent person who has served West Indies well as far back as his days as the WI Youth Captain. Why are we always in such a hurry to pull down and degrade our own?
In reply to Chrissy
He was a few forms ahead of me at St. Josephs Academy in Antigua. Was definitely decent around that time. Thought I was a better batsman though! :D

Some people are really brave and liberal with what they post online, assuming incorrectly that Internet anonymity exists.
I hope really hope Zorol reads this thread and takes whatever action he feels is necessary.

You pay thefan a great compliment by referring to him as a Trini.
Conversely....that's about the greatest insult to a Trini
Since he's such a great guy...how come West Indies cricket is in such dire straits? Afterall he was the CCOO
In reply to MEP
Bein a good person doh NECESSARILY translate into competence at one's job.
In reply to imusic
All I'm saying is that how much of a good guy can he be when he is part and parcel of an organiztion that lacks transparency.
What the skunt allyuh talking? Why do you even think I asked the question whether he was a money man before the WICB because I wasn't sure. I never said Zorol had his hands in the till. Zorol was part of a corrupt, unaccountable and incompetent organization (to the public's eye), enough said.
In reply to Admin
yes call him mek him read da thread yes......mek him sue dem
In reply to OVAL291
In your haste to get Admin to contact Zorol, don't you know that that action will ensure that this website gets locked down by any form of preservation or interlocutory order and gets negative publicity in the process?
The level of ignorance of West Indians is unbelievable.
In reply to thefan

In reply to OVAL291
I leave you to your ignorance.
In reply to thefan

Another one of the Ali Baba gang leaves, now that the pickings are not as easy as before.
With KG in charge, there's no room for teefing. Feeding at the trough is a thing of the past, so the swine find themselves starving and are forced to seek other troughs from which to gorge themselves on other people's toil.
Good riddance. Let them go, and those who fail to depart, push them over the cliff without parachute.
Let's have a board instead of a gang of Bandits.
