Pakistan tour diary by CHRIS GAYLE
I've just got back from the gym after my evening work out and we are about to go off for dinner. As you are aware the situation in Islamabad is not the best for cricket. The rainy and gloomy weather is in control and there is nothing we can do about it. We could not play today and could not practice for the last two days.
Quite a few of the guys have been in the gym working out as well and that is good because it tells me that the focus is still there. We are looking forward to better weather and the other four One Day games in the other cities.

Chris, I would prefer you to re-word youyr statement about people on CC.com. These things cannot be classified as people. if in someone's humanity they express a longing for a loved one, how can another human make light of it. In other words, these fools should not even be allowed to invade your thoughts. Boorish behaviour and comments are sadly a staple of this board.

Cut the fugging shyte talk and score runs for WI in tests and ODIs. <40 average is not good enough.

I want him to get his batting averages over 50 in both forms of the game. That's what WI need from him.
And if he cannot, and contiunes to languish in the 30s, let him be replaced by new, younger talent with future possibility. I prefer 30-something from a green youngster than from a 7 year experienced joker who let Ganga outbat him in 2006...that's how bad it is.
If Devon Smith's average was 35, I would play him instead of Gayle, if only to send a message, loud and clear.
Is no point continuing with a dead end, if that's what he insists upon being.

Its gonna take him sometime to get that 32 average he had after 4 years to the over 50 mark....
According to "Howstats" the man has averaged 45+ in his last 3 freaking years of test cricket....so get off the man back al-fugging-ready....hes getting there.
And so far this year....The man is averaging close to 50 in fugging one day cricket....46.40.

I am getting oddly tired of these diaries.

Gayle will need far, far more than a good year to get his batting average up to over 50.
Personally, I know that he cannot do it. He can't bat well enough to have a 50+ average. 30-something is just about the best he can do.
Eventually, he will be replaced and leave the game with a Pooperesque 30-something batting average. I expect that to happen within a 3 year period starting now.
Matter of fact, if you yardies did not waste Xavier, Gayle would be under real pressure all now.
Gayle is an underachiever, and will always be one.

Now that Shoaib AkPELTar is coming back, just tell Napolean you don't want to open the batting anymore....in fact tell Shiv too...
Pudgy wanted to open the batting against Zimbabwe and then he was hiding against Harmison on his home ground...

So just step aside for a bit and watch the action....this is just temporary...
Anyways, them boys are correct... you need to improve in tests... you are missing in action when we need you the most... yuh skunt tall.. use those long legs to get to the pitch of the ball...you stay too far back in the crease and look weak against swing....
Another thing, get a custom made bat (if you don't have one already)....check out Laver and Wood..
the piece of firewood you use won't cut it.. only Dhoni uses and he skunt can't bat.. so get something better ok...
