The West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) and the players' association have reached an eleventh hour agreement on match/tour fees that clears the way for the official release of squad for the ODI tour of India.
Sources tell CaribbeanCricket.com the deal was hammered after extensive -- and contentious -- negotiations between the two sides. An announcement is expected from the WICB later today (Thursday).

Why does Darren Powell keep getting picked for any WI team? He is not international material.
Better them try to blood Tongue or somebody else.

Told allyuh this too would pass
In reply to sabina
Says who? If Collypoor,Cri-del and BitNPieces can get picked.DPowell heads and shoulder above them fellas.
In reply to buds
Huh?
Why do they keep saying that Darren Sammy is new? He was a part of the West Indies 2004 ICC tournament team.
In reply to CaribbeanCricket.com
No Dwayne Smith... This is stupidity and Instead Devon Smith Goes... Lord...
In reply to CaribbeanCricket.com
Thank god there is no Collyomore....

Powell man averaging 42 per wicket in tests and 52 per wicket in ODIs. That is ultra shiteprong in any language.
Him is head and shoulders below everybody else. And him can't even claim to be fast and sometimes intimdating like Best or Edwards.
In reply to sabina
I see you done your research on Powell....pity you did`nt do the same re-Hinds before writing rubbish.
In reply to Chrissy
But hasnt this Last minute Story become a little bit... Tired???
In reply to Cleg
Wavell Hinds averaging 33 in tests, 28 in ODIs and 34 in FC. Crap stats by any standard.
There's no facting way he should be near any West Indies team either. Better to invest in young guys like Devon Smith and Lendl Simmonds or a fighter like Morton.
In reply to sabina
Powell just does not engender much confidence in his bowling, when he gets hit, confusion is written all over his face which unfortunately is most of the time, he is a physical specimen but the elevator seem to stop short of the top floor.

Who played the Major part in us winning the 2004 ICC Champions trophy?
Powell, Marlon Samuels.........shithungs. ![]()
In reply to Cleg
That was then, wha bout now?
De man flop bigtime this year....has been if yuh ask me.
I think DP is a little bit of a coaches' pet. He is a hard worker and coaches like that.
The fact is that there is no one really making a claim for his spot right now with dominating performances. THATS why he keeps getting picked.
In reply to Cleg
That's 3 facting years ago.
And one match don't mean shite. His overall stats are shite.
In reply to carib
Powell's not fast. he's not accurate. he doesn't swing it.
He's a proven failure. Better try to mold a young one. Or even Edwards who at least has pace and swings it.
Collymore is twice the bowler in any form of the game.
In reply to gvenkat What about Dwayne Smith? How many time he need to do the same old shit playing across the line of the ball.
In my view Denorine is the only player not picked who should feel agrieved.
Wesley

(1) The ICC trophy was 4 matches, not one.
(2) That was the last time WI won anything.
(3) Surely you are not blameing Hinds for us being so poor?
In reply to Cleg
28 average is 28 average.
In reply to sabina
