Complete rubbish.For once Mikey is right.Having too many matches means the competition is too long and increases the logistic and travel nightmares for the Caribbean in what would already be the hardest world cup to organise.No problem with the Minnows playing a pre-qualifier and the top 2 going to the finals.As it is now ALL the games before the super 8s are a waste of time.
BTW the Olympics have qualifying times to keep out the rubbish. Anybody want to bet on Bermuda v Sri Lanka?I thought not.Will the ground be full?Not likely...but the traffic restrictions will cause chaos in Port of Spain.

In reply to CaribbeanCricket.comat the Olympics, national bodies determine who goes to the Games, and the only stipulation in the Charter is that athletes must be citizens of the country they represent.

Crap get your facts right. The Olympics has qualification standards. Plus if no person from a particular country does qualified for any any event, this country is allow one person to participate
