I read the entire story to see how Gayle came to the party, and the only thing I see is that he apparently stopped a ball going for 4 that went for 4 anyway.

He opted out of the batting party when he batted, and, no fault of his, was not invited to the bowling party.

Unless I watch a different game, he nuh did come to that party.

Chanderpaul came to the party but did not dance.

Ramdin spurned the batting party but kept a party of his own.

Good article...never mind stretching truth...lil bit exaggeration, probably due to exuberance of victory.

Don't we only carry forward the points if Pakistan make it through? That is not a given.

I tried to point out this lack of journalistic thoroughness and was ridiculed because `Pakistan was certain to advance.` Now it turns out that Pakistan is gone, and if Windies do manage to advance with two points, those points may not be as `crucial` since the other Super Eight teams are likely to get the same points from Ireland or Zimbabwe. Even now, there is still a possibility we could not advance or advance without any points.

I just wanted Yamfoot to correct her article and acknowledge this possibility. That was all.
