Guys give the man a chance to complete his term,I am sure his performance is being reviewed as well.On the subject of improving regional cricket I think we should allow a few more countries to play independently providing they have a resources.One such country is Antuiga.
Allowing these countries to play under their own umbrella will offer valuable exposure to more players and give the selectors a bigger pool to choose from.

The Board endorsed the view that in future it will not be “business as usual”. In this context the Board agreed that future agreements with the players will be based on a performance remuneration package
Why only the players? Why not ALL...everyone on BOARD?

The Board also endorsed the view of the selectors, conveyed by Mr. Greenidge, that they intended to make adjustments and send a strong message to the whole squad. The Board emphasized its concern that the team selected for the UK Tour should reflect the new vision and the policy for rebuilding.
We'll soon see if they they will be as good as their wordand omit slackers Gayle and Shamwell from the squad, or if is only talk. Come to think of it...they made Sarwan captain so what "strong message" can be sent after they did that?
The Board also supported a recommendation to eliminate any conflicts of interest which exist and to adhere to the Code of Ethics signed by all members.

The resignation of the President was then tabled. The President withdrew from the meeting which was then chaired by Vice President, Val Banks.

In accepting the request to continue, the President exhorted all Board members to publicly acknowledege that the WICB had fully accepted responsibility for whatever disappointments or errors of the past which may have occurred. This was accepted by the Board. Following this, the President said, “With that behind us, the Board can now fully enforce accountability throughout the organisation.”

OK...so 80% of the job already done. I would estimate about $30 million of that $80 million already creamed off the top, then.
The residual $20 million should be fairly easy to evaporate in the course of 12 months or so. All while observing strict "accountability", no "conflict of interest", "confidentiality", etc...etc....
...especially the "confidentiality" part...that's the most important part, of course.
Not a word to be leaked about how the money will disappear.

I read the messages etc on this board but don't participate in the discussions. I could't avoid it this time. This is just a rehash of the same crap that has ruined Windies cricket. How can you have a renewed emphasis on accountability and confidentiality? That is a total contradiction! Nothing in this press release inspires the least amount of confidence to anyone with a rational mind that these bastards want to do something to change our cricket. Its all about clinging to their positions and fattening their pockets. Until there is a serious revolution in the administration of our cricket and a total restructuring of the game from primary school to senior level, Windies cricket will continue to languish at the bottom of the heap.

Quit this crap about un-resign and un-retire. It is a doubly deceiving Trini ruse perfected by the late former T&T PM, Eric Williams. Essenially it is a trick to see who clap their hands in glee at the false announcement so that they can be subsequently ostracized.
I say get rid of the geriatric Gordon, as he is just as terrible as his counterparts and, on top of that he is the typical arrogant dunce Trini. Windies cricket needs individuals who understands the A - Z of cricket.
With the non-captain Lara out of the way, the team now has a real chance of playing as a team. There is no longer the distraction of the limelight-grabbing Lara, who could not influence harmony in the team because he was too busy thinking about himself.
