Windies Says No to Pakistan Tour

The West Indies will not go through with their scheduled Test and one-day series against Pakistan unless the games are played at a neutral venue.

Carl Hooper's side was due to travel later this month, but the West Indies Cricket Board does not plan to allow them to make the trip because of the current tension between Pakistan and India.

A military build-up has taken place on the border between the two countries.

Pakistani officials have, however, already indicated their willingness to accept a proposal to play the games elsewhere if there is no alternative.

The alternatives are Sharjah, Dhaka in Bangladesh and Tangiers in Morocco.

But organisers are still clinging to the hope that the current situation will improve sufficiently to prompt a change of heart by the West Indies.
