Wallace Fires but Barbados Falters

After a captain's knock of 99 by Philo Wallace and an enterprising knock of 92 by newcomer Kurt Wilkinson, Guyana did well to strike back and dismiss Barbados for 304 in the first day of the opening round Busta Cup match.

At one stage, Barbados was cruising at 189 for one wicket.

In addition to Wallace and Wilkinson, veteran wicketkeeper Courtney brown chipped in with an even time 52 and WI hopeful Ian Bradshaw chipped in with 20 odd.

The Barbadian bowlers were then able to peg Guyana back by dismissing Hanniff without scoring. At the close of play Guyana were three runs for one wicket, with the runs all coming off no-balls.
