Cush, Chanderpaul Maul Leewards Bowling

Guyana middle order batsmen Lennox Cush and Shivnarine Chanderpaul led an assault on the Leeward Islands bowling Friday to lead Guyana to 325 for five on day one of seventh round Busta Cup action.

Cush (154) and Chanderpaul (140) rescued Guyana from early trouble as the batsmen took advantage of perfect conditions at Albion. Cush, coming off a century in the previous game against Bangladesh, was particularly delightful, hammering the bowling to all parts of the ground.

It was a day dominated by batting in all four matches. At Guaracara Park, Trinidad's Dwayne Bravo smacked an unbeaten 105 while two Barbadian batsmen, Kurt Wilkinson (135) and Sherwin Campbell (107) also made tons.
