Busta Final: Percival in, Deonarine Out

Middle-order batsman Andre Percival has replaced fellow left-hander Narsingh Deonarine in the Guyana squad for the final of the Busta International Shield against Jamaica.

Percival, Guyana?s most consistent batsman in the early part of the season, was omitted from the squad when Ramnaresh Sarwan returned from injury. It is understood that he returns to allow Deonarine to appear for the Guyana President?s XI against the visiting Indians.

The President?s XI oppose the Indians at Everest April 5-7, while Guyana play Jamaica in the Shield final April 4-7 in Jamaica.

The Guyana team for the Busta final has already been named, with West Indies captain Carl Hooper leading the side.

However, the President?s XI will be named after a three-day match scheduled for Tuesday to Thursday at the LBI Community Centre ground, East Coast Demerara. Play begins at 10:00 hrs each day.
