It's Viv, Greenidge & Carew
The West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) on Saturday gave its
blessing to the three-man selection panel of Viv Richards
(chairman), Gordon Greenidge and Joey Carew.
As
first reported by CaribbeanCricket.com, Richards was
named to replace Mike Findlay in the chairman's seat and Gordon
Greenidge will replace countryman Joel Garner on the new-look
panel.
The only returning selector is Trinidadian Joey Carew, who has
served intermittently as a selector over the past 25 years.
The Richards/Greenidge/Carew panel was chosen from a list of
nominees that also included Findlay, Andy Roberts, Joe Solomon and
Maurice Foster.
On the junior panel, former Guyana off-spinner has been retained as
chairman. Also returning is Barbadian Ezra Moseley. The only change
to the panel which selects the West Indies Under-15 and Under-19
teams is Nevisian Derek Parry, who replaces Jamaican Robert Haynes.
